2. The Harmonic Damper Pulley Holding Tool
Application: work on Lexus 1990 and later: 3.0 L6, 3.0 V6, 3.3 V6, 4.0 V8, 4.3 V8, 4.7 V8.
Toyota 1996 and later: 3.0 V6, 3.3 V6, 4.0 V6, 4.7 V8. 4 cyl: 1983-1995 22RE, 1995-2004 2RZ & 1995-2004 3RZ.

This tool worked like a charm when nothing else would on my 96 Toyota Camry 2.2L 5S-FE engine. The harmonic balancer bolt was previously tightened by a “Mechanic” with a 3/4 drive impact gun. The bolt was way overtightened, but this little tool solved that dilemma. One thing I need to mention, the tool comes with 2 each M8 X 1.25 X 60MM bolts and flat washers however the Toyota 5S-FE engine harmonic balancer is tapped for M6 X 1.0 female threaded holes, be sure to purchase 2 extra bolts in M6 X 1.0 by 70MM long with large flat “Fender” washers. Run a tap (Preferably a bottoming tap) down the holes in the balancer first but be cautious you dont run the tap down too far or you will bottom against the lower cover. Great tool, it solved what was a super “Pain in the drain.” Good luck……

I bought this to use on my 2001 tundra to change the timing belt. I haven’t done that yet but just used the cam holder yesterday to hold the pulley on a 2001 saturn and rotate the engine to tighten the torque converter bolts. It’s very stout and worked great and based on that experience, it will work great for my tundra when I use it. The pulley puller is very beefy as well although I can’t speak to its use just yet. Based on how it is built, it should work great as well. This was a good purchase 👌

super impressed with how well these work and with quality. i’ve paid a lot more for specialty tools that are not nearly this good. i expect that at least the cam sprocket holder will work on subarus as well. i’m a near pro mechanic with 50+ yrs experience and LOTS of investment in tools.Note that mine didn’t come with the 8mm bolts pictured…you may have to buy a pair of long 8mm bolts

Was fine for holding the crank pulley nut to torque to 159#. Holder for cam shaft pulley was also fine to get at the cam seals. Used a pipe extension on the holder when I loosened and torqued the cam nuts. You might not need to though depending on your strength.

Worked great for my doing a timing belt job on my Lexus Land Cruiser 4.7L.Only gripe: stronger bolts are needed. These worked, but bent a small amount. Still useable though.
