Nice and beefy plugs with handles. Good for 50 amps using 6AWG SOOW/SJOOW/STOW temporary power cable or similar. Screw terminals inside keep the wires tight, and a steel clamp secures the cable. The end portion of the plastic handle provides some additional strain relief for the cable. The layout of the terminals inside is logical, making it fairly easy to route the wires. There’s not a lot of extra room, it’s important to get the length of each wire just right. It’s best practice to use non-insulated ferrules on the stranded copper wire before securing to the terminals, but it’s possible to use these with bare copper.Good for RV power, generators, EV chargers, or any other 50 amp loads.

Good solid plug set. Plastic is very hard, though not glass-filled. Contacts look good, and plug and socket are easy to connect and separate. Info sticker is placed right across a seam, but case can be hinged open to preserve it, or it can be easily removed. We’ll be making an extension cord with this, should save a good bit of money from a pre-made one.

The male plug seems solid. The female receptacle has less tension that is typical for this NEMA configuration. I checked it with all the plugs and receptacles I have and this receptacle engages and disengages far easier than any others I have. Will it cause a problem at 50 amps load? I hope not but I have no way to quantify that (the only way is to load it to 50 amps and see if it gets hot), so I am not likely to use the female end in any situation where it might see full load. Better safe that sorry.

This 50A connector set is heavy duty and well made. The screws securely hold the two halves together and also make it easy to disassemble for repair or connection. These fit well on a standard 6awg cord set. There is no cord bushing, so I would not consider these waterproof by any means. Exercise care in direct heavy rain. You could coat the seams, cord entry, and screw holes with a sealer and probably be fine. These are great for making or repairing a 50A rv or gen cord. Just be sure to seal if you intend to use them in the rain. They do mate well with other connectors and function as they should. This set costs less than I would pay at the big box store for one connector, so it is a good buy.

Good and bad with this product. Price excellent. Pay close attention to how wires are landing and any exposure conductors. Design lacks separation of ground and hot. Grommets are wrong size. In picture cable used is 4/4 TC awg and still failed to clamp down on jacket. Use of striped insulation and silicone make good fit. Same for 6/4 SO. Case does not have any sealing between halfs, easy to apply clear silicone before tighting. Female end does not have good hold on male contacts but can be crimped down some to help. Cable was operated to 49.7amp with only 4vac voltage drop from 245vac. This is acceptable and no heat up of ends. 50amp circuit should never exceed 80% of breaker or fuse. Ends have no issue with 40amps. I did not expect great results from product but no issues as of now. Case is heavy plastic that will fail especially in colder weather. Fitment is it’s largest issue.

It was an easy fix. Pretty straightforward on replacing the old damaged plug.
