Antenna wire burnt in half with in 24 hrs. Son had to go back through everything because it wouldn’t work found the burnt wire and spliced it back together. Been working great ever since.

The unit is dead before it hit year three. Install went well, fairly easy for a remote start. Programming was easy. Just stopped working about 2.7 years after install. It has power and ground, no led light anymore, doesn’t do anything.

Installed in my 2005 envoy in about 3 hours start to finish. Customer service was excellent I’m very impressed with the quality of this remote start.

I have installed many DEI remote start and alarm systems over the years. I was looking for something that was easy to install and affordable. I am beyond impressed to say the least. The instructions are the clearest and easy to follow. Always used to getting a book for installation. Not MTC, installed it in a little over 1 hour which included removing the panels and replacing them. System works flawlessly, starts, lights come on, doors are locked and I no longer need the factory key fob. Great range no problem starting from my basement. Definitely will be recommending this to everyone!!!

What makes this a 5 star review is because of the support. I installed this on my Chevy Trailblazer. The description says that it is only compatible with the GMC Envoy but it will work on Envoy, Trailblazer, Isuzu Ascender, Saab 9-7x, Buick Rainier and Oldsmobile Brevada. These are all the same car except for some cosmetic differences. On to the remote starter… What you het in the box is a Crimestopper remote start kit, an immobilizer to deal with any key security issues, an RF receiver with an antenna, a pair of 5 button remote control key fobs along with all of the wiring you need to connect everything together. It looks intimidating when you open the box but as long as you follow the directions and you will be fine. There are 6 primary wires that connect to the larger gauge wires in the ignition harness, one of which connect through a relay (included). The 2 other wires you have to connect are simple. One goes to the data wire on the OBD II connector and the other goes to a parking light wire behind the headlight switch. All wiring is easy to get to.The snag I ran into was that after I connected all the wiring, nothing worked. I emailed and they immediately knew that I had not plugged the antenna in. I assumed that because I was so close, it would work without the antenna. It turns out that the antenna isn’t just an antenna, it was the RF receiver that receives the signals from the remote fobs. It’s all installed and working as expected. Major points for customer service! You will need some soldering skills or at the bare minimum, crimp on butt connectors. The kitt comes with T-Taps for ease of connections. However, once you install the unit with t-taps and test it, it would be a good idea to remove the T-Taps and solder the primary wires. If you have one of these vehicles and you want a remote starter, this one is the quickest and easiest solution.

For my 2005 GMC Envoy. First impressions…this looks super intimidating. I talked myself into returning it and canceling at least twice. Finally gave in and tackled it. The wiring and materials are great quality. I hit one snag and reached out to customer support. They got back to me in less than five minutes. They knew exact what my issue was and I was able to finish. All together it took me about two hours. Great product backed by even better support.
