Fixed the problem.

Replaced the lock on my daughter’s 97 TJ; it generally works, but not an exact replacement. The assembly is slightly longer; lid closes and latches, but not as tightly.

What the heck is this price? $100 is way out there. I can almost buy a whole new center console for that.

This was exactly what I was looking for. This is the OEM metal part, not a cheap plastic knock-off. All part in the picture were accurate (even including the little screw).
