Direct OEM replacement. So it is exactly what is described and shipped fast. The reason why I gave 2 stars is because how fragile these things are to begin with. I’ve had my bike for 3yrs and replaced this 4 times now. Indian needs to make these as metal clips instead of plastic. It’s clearly a case of cutting corners on Indian’s part to keep costs down even though they greatly inflate the price to nearly $30 for a part that should be $2.

2020 Chieftain DH. Slid right in and was $30ish cheaper than buying direct from Indian! Couldn’t be more pleased. Will update if it breaks, but that’s not a supplier issue that’s poor design by Polaris/Indian. Already recommended to my friend with Indians Motorcycles.

latch broke after a few months of use. Not a very long life for the price. very expensive for something that issmaller than a quarter.

It is obviously the dashboard clip, but they really should make a better replacement. The claws that grip the lid tongue have such thin material holding them.
