The INNOVA Pro Digital Timing Light is the professional choice for a high-quality timing light that will stand up daily shop use. Made from a heavy-duty, ABS, shock proof housing it has a molded boot for extra protection against the engine fan blades and a backlit screen for easier viewing in hard to see places. The slim, rotating barrel offers better aim at the timing mark. The four-function digital readout includes tachometer ranges from 249-9,990 RPM, Advance Degrees (2 and 4 cycle) 0-90 degrees, dwell (2-12 cylinders) from 0-180 degrees and voltage from 10-16 volts DC. Features Patented Skip Circuitry Test up to 9,990 RPM and switches from 2-cycle to 4-cycle. This timing light works with most ignition systems (DIS, conventional, electronic, and computer-controlled systems – domestic and import). The INNOVA Pro Digital Timing Light includes detachable 6-foot leads with inductive pickup and a plastic storage case.

I previously had the Innova 3555 timing light and I have to say I was less than impressed with that particular model. It seemed prone to inaccurate induction readings and fluctuations at random times; it got to the point where I just couldn’t trust it and actually had to use an older timing light from the 1970’s to confirm its readings and/or errors.After doing some research and checking reviews here on Amazon, I decided to give Innova’s 5568 Pro model a shot. All I can say is “Wow, I’m impressed”. This digital model is super easy to use. The directions are a bit lacking and confusing, but once you fire it up, it’s very intuitive and easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised by how understandable the functions were once I started using it on the motor. Induction works 100% right out of the gate; no problems whatsoever. The digital timing advance/retard function worked really nicely also; you can push the arrows and watch the timing mark move forward or back 1 degree at a time. Very steady readings. I also appreciate that you can read the RPM’s directly from the unit. This saves me from having to attach other diagnostic equipment. It’s also nice to be able to turn off the flashing light when it’s not needed.All in all, really impressed. Very nice timing light and seems to be very accurate and well designed/made. If you are considering between this model and the lower priced models, all I can say is the extra money gets you into a whole different ball park of quality. I wish I had gone with this model straightaway.

I don’t have the need for dwell because of electronic ignition, but I really like to be able to see my timing and the rpm together on the screen. The one-handed operation with the timing light and adjusting my distributor with my other hand makes it easy to do by myself.

Comes in a hard case. Solid Timing Light. I have used it on a car an boat and it is pretty intuitive. I am confident in its accuracy as it matches what I know about the engines.Considering the cost, it is a shame that it doesn’t get used more.

Works great for all types of engines! Love the RPM display in real time, so that Idle can be properly set before adjusting timing. Multiple tools all in one. The durable case is just an added bonus. I also really like that the leads unplug from the tool.

The instructions are poor but I figured out that the green lead goes to the ignition Coil negative. I love that it has a built in tachometer and dwell. Makes it easy to set total advance without guessing RPM’s. Feature packed at a reasonable price. It’s not industrial grade like my old Snap-On, this is primarily for the weekend warrior. Very happy with this product. Thank you

I’ve used this several times now. After figuring out the buttons it seems to work nicely. The instructions should be updated, as they do not cover all functions as they should. Once I figured it out, it works well. We will see how long it lasts. If it weren’t for the lack of instructions to come with it, I would have given it 5 stars, you can download a more detailed set of “How to and follow these” I found out which made it better to use.

Worked great for 3 months and then just stopped working and couldn’t get it to turn back on again. But the case it came in is nice so I guess that is worth the 1 star. I was going to return it but it only had a 1 month return policy so I am out of luck. My son uses the box for his fishing gear now.

It works well and makes it easy to see timing marks. Be careful when attaching to the plug wire. As a vehicle is idling the inductive clamp slid down the wire and got a little toasted on the headers, but that’s my fault not the tools and even after it got toasted it still works just fine.
