Yes you can mount them to the cross bar. Pls note the carrying capacity(evenly distributed) is 150 pounds.

Can the back window/freedom panels still open with the rack installed?
There is no problem opening up the back window or freedom panels. It attaches to the rear hinges and allows for its usual mechanism.

Will I need to drill any holes to install the product?
You will not have to drill holes, it mounts to rear window brackets and the side channel(rain gutter).

The assembly was a bit of work. You definitely should have help when it is time to put it on top of the rig so you don’t mark your top up like I did doing it alone.Other than all that, I couldn’t be more pleased. It seems very sturdy and well made. The finish is very nice looking and seems very tough. I love how it mounts towards the rear of my 4 door Jeep, so I can still get the freedom tops off. The low profile of it looks so awesome, exactly what I was hoping for.Very pleased with this purchase.

I was hesitant to purchase this rack because of some of the issues in other’s reviews. I’m glad I bought it now. This rack went together easy. The carton was packed in order of assembly. DON’T tighten any bolts until the rack is assembled, this eliminates the problem of slots not aligning up. The whole process from opening the carton to admiring the rack on my Jeep took less than three hours by myself. I also like the fact that it’s literally a one tool assembly. Finish was nice as well.

It’s been about six weeks since I installed this . It has held up like a champ. It frees up so much space on the inside of my jeep . Simple to assemble and great fit . Price vs. quality = home run

This is a really good rack it’s powder coated Steel,but it’s a little expensive should be about a hundred bucks less in my opinion,but still a good rack.

Hard to beat for the price. Very pleased with the quality of the rack too. Keep everything just finder-tight during install as you will need to tweak it a bit after getting in on top of roof. Very happy with install and looks.

Package was damaged product had paint chopped off it, overlooked it as all in all it wouldn’t affect its purpose. Lo and behold the front mounts have a rubber slipper that catches on your rear door seal. Over time the door seal rips and causes a water leak. No offer to refund any amount only shipped me new rubber pads. Kind of pointless as I’m going to remove it.
