This kit is worth every dollar! I have a 1988 Monte Carlo with tilt steering /column shift with a keyed ignition on the column. The kit rebuilt my steering like new.

The rack gear kit was an exact fit for my 1984 Chevy, C10, Silverado Pickup Truck. Installing the kit in the steering column required time and patience (this is a steering column rebuild and repair). The reason why the part was ordered was because my truck would not start when turning the key to the on position. The broken gear (rack kit) is connected to a rod, the rod is connected to the ignition starter switch.
