I like the quality being metal vs plastic. So far working great. Last one I purchased (plastic version) lasted 6 years. Time will tell how long this one will last.

Used this to replace the mechanical valve cap pump on Kohler Command engine. I did have to manually prime the lines with gas but once all air was out, this pump is working excellently and will be more reliable than the original Kohler design (which is hard to source).

It would be helpful if the inlet and outlet side were labelled, other than that minor detail the product seems acceptable although I have not had time to fully evaluate its performance yet.

Here’s the inlet, outlet, and vacuum source labeled!! I got it on the 2nd try. Installed this on my early 90s craftsman riding mower. If it fails, I’ll update the review.UPDATE 12/3/24: 6 months later this thing is garbage. Looses prime, had to start my mower with brake cleaner, and once it runs for more than 5 minutes, had to run with the choke almost 100%. Replaced with a plastic pump from here and it runs fine now

Had to drill out and file mounting holes to fit John Deere Z345R. Was not hard to do. Otherwise, looks like a quality product and mower is running great.

So glad to see that someone makes a metal fuel pump for the Vanguard engines. The plastic versions get brittle from the heat and break. The pump is good quality and is a one for one fit.

I have replaced numerous plastic pumps. This is 10 times the quality. It’s metal and the hose fittings won’t break off like the cheap ass plastic ones. Everyone should go to this one and screw the plastic ones’!!!
