Extreme Pressure Engine Assembly Lube by Sta-Lube Lube is ideal for lubrication in metal-to-metal contact areas, and for preventing friction, galling, and wear in engines during assembly, start-up, and break-in periods. It is a lithium based grease fortified with moly-graphite that adheres to metal surfaces. Provides protection where it matters most during the crucial start-up period of a freshly built engine.

Silicon Valley Guy –
The product was easy to dispense from the tube and use. My only complaint was that the end of the tube was not correctly sealed or undue pressure was put on it during shipping because a small amount had come out of the end and I had to use a staple to seal it back up and wipe it down. Mine was shipped in a plastic padded envelope instead of a box. Believe it or not a regular paper stapler seems to have done the trick. Melting it with a cigarette lighter may have worked. But, so far I haven’t had to go there…

Slather this on anything that moves metal to metal on engine first start up, it’ll do ya fine.
M Wilkinson –
Uniform consistency, doesn’t drip off, spreads thinly on the bearings. Will be my go to from now on.

Used to assemble new rockers, and valve lifters on 1997 4.3L vortec engine. Also used on the new timing chain. Stuff works great for breaking in new components. It’s a must!
BugNut –
Do not use on piston rings or cam lobes.
