The Wolo 496 is a powerful hand held electronic horn. With a simple press of the trigger button, E-Z Horn emits a powerful ear piercing alerting sound. Ergonomically designed, the handgrip is comfortable to hold and is non-slip. A standard 9-volt battery powers the horn, (not included). The E-Z Horn also has a spare battery compartment that can store one 9-volt battery as a backup, assuring the user of always having a working horn when needed in any emergency condition. No expensive cans of gas needed. Comes with a quick release, stainless steel belt clip, simply press the tab on the belt clip, E-Z Horn is released and ready to use. A nylon hand lanyard hand wrist strap is also provided to ensure a positive handgrip in the toughest environment.

When I saw the Horn, it was supposedly used for “Boating, Construction, Sporting”. I assumed it would suit my needs. -I work in industry with Forklifts driving by, I wanted the Horn to signal when I was moving my ToolBox. All that being said, for $40, I can’t believe how quiet this thing is. It’s capabilities as advertised are not so much exaggerations, as much as lies.

I simply wanted to startle squirrels or my neighbor’s cat fighting with mine. It emits a low volume growling type of sound that wouldn’t get the attention of a sleeping cat.

The volume of the horn is so low you could never depend on it to help save you in a distressed situation. We tried to use it to get campers back to the lodge in a country setting. It was so low you couldn’t hear it 40 feet away. This was with a new battery and the first time use. It was very disappointing.

This horn is as loud as the sleeker, blue Innovative Lighting horn it replaces.It has a purer sound: not gravely.The battery compartment and door seem to have been designed for the older 9V battery dimensions. Current higher capacity 9V batteries have to be jammed in.I put a strapping tape “retrieval harness” on my battery so that I would be sure of getting it back out again.

Not as loud as I was expecting but loud enough for a small easy to use electronic horn. Love that it only requires one 9 volt battery and that there’s a storage compartment for a back up battery.

The only handheld electronic horn that I could find on the market and it works incredibly well and I highly recommend it.The only area of improvement is the wiring of the battery compartment – you have to bend the wire and that might not be good for longevity of the product.

IT WORKS!!! It works for the purpose that I use it. It does have a VERY loud sound. It is portable. It uses one 9 V battery. It is probably best to have some 9 V batteries on sale. I like this horn. 😊

Didn’t use this right away when I got it. Was in my gear bag for a bit. Mostly a back up horn.Easy to install battery. Easy to use button/trigger to press/pull. Worked great until the battery wire broke off while removing the battery. Think the design was okay except the battery compartment. Battery can be tough to pull out. I believe if it was a dog or A battery design, you wouldn’t need cords that can be easily ripped out.Was mainly removing the battery so it’s not sitting in my gear back for paintball and would like battery acid everywhere from being connected and not used often.It’s okay and does the job.

got this because my girlfriend and her two daughters are always yelling about some bullplop nonsense. one 2 second blast gets there attention a second blast lets them know they need to shut the hell up because i can do this all day
