By using Donaldsons PowerCore Filtration technology submicron contaminants load on the surface rather than collecting in the depth of the filter. This boosts efficiency and increases performance on your aftermarket air intake system. The filter media wont deteriorate as easily as traditional cotton/gauze filters. Plus its water resistant so getting wet wont ruin your air flow or cause a decrease in performance. This is why we warranty our replacement air filters for 4 years or 100000 miles in urban conditions whichever comes first.

these are excellent filters, although I don’t like the Volant CAI.I’ve now had this filter on my car for 3-years, it’s beginning to get a little heavy with dirt but the rubber has held up good. I’m going to order a replacement. This filter catches approximately 99% of all pollutants, compared to 98% for paper and about 95-96% for cotton gauze (oiled) and polyester (dry) filters. My oil stays very clean and I have no oil burn between oil changes. There no turbo lag because of filter drag. I can head the intake @ WOT.

The rubber is not well made on these filters. I used this with a pre-filter for about 50k and the rubber started to crack and fall apart. Contacted Volant and told it was out of warranty since it was past 4 years. Sure, they claim 100k, but in my experience the rubber will fall apart prior to that and not make a good seal.

PowerCore and aFe ProGuard 7 filters are the only high performance filters that actually do a good job of filtering. This is the highest tech thing out there now. Just spend the money. It’s still cheap insurance at this price. And find a cold ram-air source.

Installed on a 2013 Polaris XP900 after a fresh top end rebuild. I was not happy with the K&N that was installed so I checked the reviews on the RZR forums and a few people suggested this unit. After the first and second ride, filter was removed and inspected with no problems. After the 3rd ride, removed filter but did not inspect inside. When I picked it up to reinstall, the filter literally fell off the rubber boot! In the picture, you can see where the seal failed all the way around and dust was being ingested in the motor, especially near the consentrated brown dust trail.Return policy ran out 2 days ago.Buyer beware.
