Trimax is proud to introduce its revolutionary interchangeable Multi-ball System allowing the use of all Three Ball Sizes on One Ball Mount! The balls are each pinned on to the center shank for ultimate strength. This system allows the use of a dropped or raised ball mount (depending on the height of rear of vehicle) of your choice (not included). System fits: 1-7/8″, 2″ and 2-5/16″ Trailer Couplers. Weight ratings for each ball are 1-7/8″ = 3,500 LBS, 2″ = 6,000 LBS and 2-5/16″ = 8,000 LBS. Treaded shank is 3.5″ long and 1″ wide. It is manufactured from chromed high strength steel. Includes hex-nut and lock washer.

No hole to put a pin into as a back up if the nut comes loose on bolt

Like the concept and the flexibility of this product but when you loose one of the balls you have to rebuy the whole system. Called the company and they won’t sell you just a replacement ball. Had another on of these systems that you turn to install but it’s not rated for farm use. Going back to having a hitch with the two ball sizes I need and call it good.

I bought this thinking it would be a great idea not having to carry around multi hitches for all my trailers first time I go to use it on my boat it would not slide all the way down over the ball something is machined incorrect as soon as I switch back to another 2inch ball it slid down correctly

Pins are loose and I’m afraid of loosing one of the balls when I’m not hooked to a trailer.

These worked great for about 2 years, I used them regularly for work. Right around the 2 year mark the center pin on the 2 5/16 ball came loose and would not stay in position. I figure if I got 2 years of hard out of it, it would be great for recreational use.
