While no crawler works “great” on a gravel driveway, this works better than my small wheel crawler. The surface is slippery and would be better if it had a more sticky cover. I will probably add some strips of hockey tape across the surface in multiple locations to add some grip. You especially need that friction between you and the crawler to allow the wheels to move over a bumpy surface. With that “fix” I believe this will be a much better tool.

The headrest is too low. Not sure how long the plastic covering will last, but I figure if it tears I’ll just grab some vinyl to make a new pad. I’ve done that before for other things and it’s easy. The brake is fantastic and is similar to a dirt bike kickstand. The handle helps you cam it down, however, you can only put pressure on it while wrenching to the up position and sides. If your wrenching puts pressure in the same direction it would fold to disengage the lock, it’ll pop down off the lock and you’ll be rolling. Not a huge deal. But something to be aware of.Believe it or not, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, this creeper actually rolls too easy…. Yes, hard to believe…. But it rolls WAY easier than any creeper I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a bunch. The large wheels will go over small stuff, but chords and hoses, forget it. It’s my first big wheeled creeper and according to the younger guys, a big wheel will roll over chords and air hoses easy, yeah…. It won’t. It’s not as low as I’d like either. We aren’t using these things in the gravel or rolling over rocks…. The best creeper I ever had I made… It had less than a half inch clearance under it….thats what this one should have. Several times this week I’ve dropped something under a car and hunted forever for it just to find that my ratchet rolled under the creeper.

Product arrived in a box that had been damaged in shipment. Creeper was in good shape, but one of the barrel nuts that secure the casters to the creeper was missing. Amazon referred me to manufacturer for support, so I sent them a quick email. I received a very prompt response saying no problem and asking for my address. The very next day I had a tracking email from them showing they sent all 4 new barrel nuts.No hassle, no questions, just prompt courteous customer service.Creeper looks and feels to be pretty sturdy and well made. Will update once the nut comes in and I can test it out properly.

It isnt quite as pictured, and it appears that they have changed the design since some other customers posted their pictures. My frame came in multiple pieces and had a black coatingThe frame requires more assembly than previous versions. You have to slide some parts of the frame into other parts and bolt them in place. The outer piece had a lip/burr running along the inside as well as a lip around the inside of the bolt holes. The inner piece had a lip/burr running along the outside. The end result is that the pieces didnt fit together, and I had to spend quite a bit of time filing them down. This required using a long, thin file for the inside, which I luckily had. Even after filing, the process was difficult without a mallet, but the end result was tight and solid, which is good. The actual backboard for the padding seems to be particle board. The frame under the back board is x shaped. This means that on both ends of the backboard, there is no frame support at all for the last six inches on the sides, and a full foot in the middle. I anticipate the particle board breaking where my hips rest eventually, as it is unsupported. The casters are huge and will allow you to roll over any debris you create when you are working, but the bearings that allow the casters to swivel seem sloppy and dont want to move very freely. I added some grease to the bearing, which seemed to help. This creeper sits me up 2inches higher than my old, plastic creeper. It is still lower than other metal framed creepers where the wheels are under you, but be aware that you may be losing some clearance. This is a small gripe, but there is no good way to hang it on a wall or stand it upright, so it’s harder to store it out of the way than other creepers.Overall, I think the frame is good quality, but the other components dont seem as durable and may have to be replaced over time.

This is the best creeper I’ve ever used. I’m 290 lbs 6’1″. I work in my personal garage all the time and the 4 inch ball bearing wheels are fantastic. All the other creepers I’ve had drag on the ground… Get stuck on a small bolt… And the wheels break off. I’m able to sit on it and creep around my shop with ease. However there’s a trade off. Because it has bigger wheels it also has a bigger footprint. When this one wears it I will buy another one just like it.

Big wheels are nice for rolling around but frame has arms for the wheels that go out pretty far creating a good bit of torque on the frame.Frame cracked at welds after a few months of use every once in a while.

The listing says it has rubber wheels but came with cheap plastic wheels that wobble on the support bushing.

The design of this low profile creeper coupled with its all terrain tires are what make the functionality of this item worth adding to you garage.
