I own a 6.5 turbo diesel chevy, reading the forums people suggested why this says on the actual package not for diesels is possibly due to either vibration, or that Ford/Dodge use different threads patterns for their diesels vs. gas engines. I have yet to install it due to partially being lazy, and to the fact to absorb the vibration, ill be installing a rubber block between the filter mount and the frame.

Good kit for the money in my opinion. My usage is a little different as I’m using it to filter solvent in my parts washer. The kit comes with good quality hardware and hoses. The dual housing is a nice solid unit as well. The threads the filter will spin onto could use some locktite on them so they don’t spin out of the housing as they are separate pieces in the kit.My reason for 3 stars is the thread part for the filters wasn’t the correct size for the kit. I believe it was supposed to be 13/16″ and it was 3/4″. Led to a parts store run that involved trying out what filter would fit

Just be advised that it IS going to leak. I have tried everything and I can not get it to stop leaking. I will be taking it off as soon as the weather warms up. I’m very disappointed.

Only giving it three stars because I haven’t used it yet…I’m building a Tee-Bucket roadster and thought this would add to its “aura” ( its being powered my an inline six so I had a plenty of bare firewall showing)…I know I will need longer hoses as the six’s filter is ‘way up front on the motor, not at the bell housing as on most V-8s, I feel if I’m careful there should be no leaks.

I have added this to my 500+hp 454 build. I have a high volume pump to help get more oil through the filters. The largest filters I could find to fit are these. Save your time, I did the research. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C9Y1BS
