Easy to install. Just pay attention to how the old one comes out and reverse the process. I gave it 4 stars because they are a little noisy. Nothing earth shattering and it’s not that noticeable to others. It works great though.

Good fit and function. Easy to read and follow instructions. I had our unit back in operation in no time at all. Works great.

Easy replacement of a noisy/stuck gate. Everything you need in one kit for one price. Comes with a new floor gasket and all the parts needed to fix my stuck closed gate. My Aria II had been making a very loud noise when flushing and I knew I was going to have to do something soon. Well it finally quit in the closed position with a full load. I called the Thetford tech line &!they suggested trying to open the gate manually by turning the knob. I tried that and that didn’t work. When I called the tech line they said that the assembly would have to be replaced and even gave me the part number. Amazon had a little better price but quicker shipping. (2 days vs. 7-10 days from Thetford. All in all it took about an hour. The bowl came out easy, I replaced all of the parts that came with the kit and it works just like new. I have seen other blogs about this unit but the fix is pretty straightforward. Just a little more trouble than replacing a complete toilet in your home. A little tighter working space. Definitely go for the whole kit and not just the motor. It’s a little bit more money but a lot easier installation and everything will be new. No second guessing what part isn’t working.

I’m not one to want to dig into fixing an RV Toilet. But I liked this toilet and didn’t want to replace it. The hardest part was taking it out and putting it back into the motor home. The new bottom washer raised the toilet up a half inch and it was a bear lining up the threads on the water pipe. I swear the built the RV around this toilet. Now the repair kit slid in without a problem. It worked great and solved my sticking valve problem. When I finally got the threads to line up it was piece of cake. But it leaked, so I had to do it again with some thread teflon in place. Thankfully the second time was easier and leak free. I can still give it 5 stars for easy to install because the new parts went in easy. The toilet install in my case two stars it is just jammed into a tight place in my RV.

This Thetford kit is perfect for the repair a bad motor and bad seal. Took about 30 minutes to remove and replace. I just followed direction and was lucky as I just had to replace motor assembly. My toilet was not leaking which made the job easier. I did purchase plumbers silicone grease and plenty of that on the new seal. Helps maintain it quality and longevity. Makes the motor work less and it makes the operation a lot less noisy. Great quality at a reasonable cost.

I have replaced this part four times in five years. The original lasted several years but the replacement seems to fail in as little as a few weeks to months. They should make an upgrade. This is a very common complaint for this toilet.
