TechSpec’s flag ship tank grip material, Snake Skin, has over twenty years of material development. It’s not easy bonding adhesive to rubber. TechSpec’s, Motorcycle Tank Grips were developed to improve body, bike control and increase riders comfort. Gripping your motorcycle between your knees or thighs improves overall control of your ride by better securing your body weight and seat position under the forces of braking, cornering and acceleration while also relieving pressure from your wrists, elbows, shoulders and lower back giving you increased control and a more comfortable, safer ride. Snake Skin is a thin, .125” medium durometer “rubber” material that offers a secure, comfortable grip, durable protection and a clean stock look. Custom designed for over 250 motorcycles, used by multiple GP and Moto America racers plus riding schools, (GP2: Sii, Tech3, RW racing , Redbull KTM Ajo, Josh Herrin, Kyle Wyman, Andrew Lee and Yamaha Champions Riding School).

Very grippy, adhesive is releasable and doesn’t damage my tank. I ordered a set and both pieces had pretty severe imperfections in the pattern. It wasn’t enough to affect the performance of the grips but it was pretty ugly and for the price I expected higher QC. I contacted TechSpec and they gave me a warranty form. I filled it out and set pictures and they immediately sent a replacement set that looks perfect. I couldn’t be happier with their customer service.

Install and fit easily on the bike. It has been thru very hot temperature, excessive heat weather, still sticking strong on the tank. Beside that, it feels and looks nice, add more texture to the tank but not too much blink.

High quality product. Easy to install. Advertised as a fit for 848 SF , also fits the Sf1098
