  • 【Perfect Compatibility】:Reverse Lockout Solenoid Delete is designed specifically for the Borg Warner & Tremec T-56 (Regular and Magnum) and TR-6060 transmissions. It replaces the electronic reverse solenoid, offering a safer alternative to the traditional solenoid wiring.
  • 【Prevent Damage】: Wiring a reverse lockout solenoid can be frustrating and may lead to transmission damage if forced into reverse. :Reverse Lockout Solenoid Delete prevents the need to “muscle” the shifter into reverse, reducing the risk of costly damage from improper shifting.
  • 【Enhanced Safety】: Unlike a complete lockout removal,:Reverse Lockout Solenoid Delete provides the right resistance to avoid accidental reverse engagement, eliminating the need for “forcing” the shift while maintaining ease of use.
  • 【High-Quality Construction】: Crafted from durable, high-heat-resistant aluminum alloy:Reverse Lockout Solenoid Delete is CNC-machined for precision.:Reverse Lockout Solenoid Delete is corrosion-resistant and built to withstand the demands of performance driving.
  • 【Simple Installation】: Designed for a hassle-free install,:Reverse Lockout Solenoid Delete allows for a quick 5-minute swap with just one bolt to remove. It includes all necessary components: M8x1.25×30 SHCS, softer spring (for short shifters or relocation), and O-ring.

  1. Imported from AmazonSource context: I absolutely love this thing. I used to worry about accidentally going for fifth, hitting reverse, and ending up with a much bigger expense than the cost of this piece. The build quality is GREAT. It even comes with a lighter spring option for short throw shifters. Getting into reverse now feels natural, whereas before, I had to push against the closed door just to shove it into R. Super easy to install—you can do it from inside the car. It fits and seals perfectly. (Don’t forget to use lube on that rubber seal… ) Seriously though, this is one of the very few things I’ve ordered that actually lived up to its description and photos. Pay for the right piece—it’s worth it!

  2. Imported from AmazonSource context: On my T56, the reverse lockout release died—whether it was the solenoid or the VSS wire, I don't know, because I was sick of dealing with the problem. I found this on the intarwebs and saw it was available next day from Amazon. I ordered it up and installed it in about 30 minutes, from putting the car on jackstands until it was back on the floor. It took an extra 5 minutes because I have a short-throw shifter and needed the lighter spring. Easily the best 30-minute mod for my trans. The light spring is enough to ensure I won't accidentally grab reverse on the 4-5 upshift. Putting reverse next to fifth on a six-gear trans is stupid enough, but adding a solenoid that can (and will) fail to prevent the shift to reverse... insanity. This is the cure for the silliness. Just buy it. One person found this helpful.

  3. Imported from AmazonSource context: I highly recommend this part for anyone retrofitting a T56 into their vehicle. The swap is easy, and now I can shift into reverse without having to wire up the solenoid to a switch. The fit and finish on the part are excellent—it's a well-machined component with precise tolerances to prevent leakage. The only downside is that the kit does not include silicone grease for the O-ring, but I had a tube from another job, so it worked out fine. The entire replacement takes about 5 minutes, with just one bolt to remove. The kit works perfectly and even includes two different spring tensions to tailor the operation to your liking. The T56 is a great transmission for a resto-mod, but the reverse lockout solenoid can be a pain.
