My old smoke-colored cover had partially melted in the sun; I’m hoping this new one will stay a little cooler due to being white.This new cover was an exact fit for my fan, but the install was more difficult than it should have been because the metal lift bar is fastened to the plastic cover with rivets instead of screws. This makes it impossible to mate up the new bar with the lift mechanism without disassembling the fan from the inside. I’m docking a star for this.Instead of dropping the whole fan down, I drilled out the rivets and replaced the metal bar with the screw-on one from my old cover. That allowed me to install it single-handedly from the outside. Fortunately the new and old bars were exactly alike, including the hole locations.

Drill out 2 rivets instal original screws, all work done from the top.

Product fit great on the 13×13 electric crank trailer vent.

The slide for the crank that raises and lowers the vent is very thin and bent. Had to remove that part and use the old part. Would not buy again.

As another reviewer stated, Swess did not think through the replacement installation. Apparently the company doesn’t read these reviews because two years later they are still using rivets instead of screws. Perhaps they just don’t care.
