I think I prefer this over the Sno Brum because it has a mild “S” curve to it which helps plow the snow away when you push and pull it it back to you when you turn it over. I used the Sno Brum style before this, and it performed well enough – I think this is just an added improvement.My only criticism is that it does tend to unscrew when putting downward pressure on the right-hand side, and I can’t seem to tighten it enough (without over-tightening) to stop it from doing so. That said, I LOVE how easy it is to clean off the snow from my vehicle(s), whether they have 1″ or 1′ of snow on them. What a hassle it was before, either using a floor broom or my arm and hands to clear everything.I would NOT recommend this for trying to clear snow from any roof, except for a small area shed, if that. I know you can screw on a much longer handle and get a further reach, but I don’t think they were designed for that at all. I also think contact with the shingles will cause unnecessary wear and tear on both the shingles and the Arctic Plow.

Let me paint a scenario for you:You are skiing down a steep mountain, trees and rocks whizzing past as you cruise by. All of a sudden, an avalanche begins, sending thousands and thousands of tons of snow your way. You can’t outrun it. You can’t escape. Do you pray? Do you hide? Do you remember your training that one time you maybe took one of these intro classes at the resort when you first started this pointless, expensive hobby?No!!! You reach for the snow plow by Hopkins!!! Pull this sucker out and go to town on that ‘lanche!! This thing makes snow it’s b****! With its heavy duty foam and strong handle you can plow snow all day!It gives you so much control and power over the elements, you can plow snow right off your car and onto your neighbor’s driveway in one sweep! And then BAM, the handle collapses and you take off the head and you can sneak it back into your car and claim you could have never possibly reached his freshly plowed driveway from where you’re at! They’ll never know (but you will)!!!So whip out your Hopkins, stare that Avalanche right in the eye and scream “You shall not pass!!”.Seriously, do it.

Good quality product which does the job as a good price. It’s compact and fits under my back seat like a scraper or a brush yet can be assembled in about 10 seconds even with mittens on. It makes cleaning a car with several inches of snow, even a truck (Explorer Sport Trac) quick and easy. The foam blade is durable and hard enough to act like a shovel yet soft enough not to damage the vehicle. And because it’s a shovel-like blade, it doesn’t fill with snow on days with a lot of accumulation like a traditional brush does. The telescoping handle works well and is long enough to reach across most vehicles hoods and roofs easily. Sometimes the blade gets loose, but you can feel it when it happens and can usually tighten it just by spinning the handle in your hands (vs screwing the blade on tighter with your hands)

This thing is AWESOME! Living in a very snowy part of the Northeast, and having recently had over 30″ of snowfall over a 2 day period, this thing worked like a champ. It quickly and easily removed all the snow from every part of the car; hood, windshield, roof, etc.. The telescopic handle is nice, allowing you to reach across the car without actually having to walk around the car. I did notice that the locking mechanism does slip a bit when used on heavy snow. Not a big deal, but worth noting. I really like the way the item worked, so I bought a second one of these for my girlfriend.

Excellent tool for removing snow off my truck and I just leave it assembled in the bed. Might be a little much hauling this around in a smaller car, but worth having one at your house to at least be able to clean your car off well there.Soft head leaves no scratches, heavy enough to easily push snow.Handle tends to unscrew a little if you’re pushing hard, but doesn’t come undone, just a little nuisance. Fix that little thing and 5 stars all the way!

Great product. I’ve used this broom for about 5 years now and always have it ready inside the garage for the next big snow. I bought my first one at Walmart, but Amazon Prime makes it faster and easier to order from them. It’s got a strong build. The only problem was with the head coming loose, but all I needed to do is tighten it good. I haven’t had a problem since. It’s held up good for 5 years. No worries about paint or glass scratches. It has a sturdy foam head with curved edges to grab the snow good. It can be broken down to carry inside the vehicle with no problem. The telescopic handle and detachable head makes that possible where others don’t. The head snaps onto the handle sideways to be compact. I like it so much, I bought my daughter, son-in-law and wife one for their vehicles.

This is my second winter using the Arctic Plow and I really like it. The material used on the plow is soft enough that I don’t worry about it scratching my vehicles, so I was worried that it wouldn’t stand up to use, but after a full year+ of use it has stood up very well. It works great at removing snow. Used it to clear 8 inches from my truck this morning. Easily cleared the snow off the top of my F-150 without having to climb up to reach. Would buy a new one in a heartbeat if I every lost this one. I use it on 5 vehicles and have never once seen a scratch.

I recently broke the handle of a 15 year old model of this snow puller after attempting to move one too many wet, heavy blobs of snow from the roof of my car. I was pleased to find that the company still produced the same model after all these years. The best feature is the curved edges, so that whether you are pushing snow away or pulling it toward you, the curve of the blade provides extra purchase on the snow. The dense sponge blade is tough and long lasting, but soft enough not to scratch car paint. We were the first one to have one of these in the neighborhood, but over the next few years, all our neighbors realized how labor saving they are. Wouldn’t clean snow off a car without it.
