Worked perfectly for my 2020 Highlander L! Follow the video tutorial and done within 30 minutes. Highly recommend!

Liked that it did work as promised and truly was plug and play.Only issue was the installation video is for a 2020 which has a different location for the plug. It’s not on the top of the module. It’s on the bottom and cannot be seen. You have to reach underneath to access and work ‘blind’.Other than that, it works great. Love that it required no splicing at all.

Is the easiest remote start to install.. it took me like 15 minutes to complete and the product performs really well. The only thing is that if you have the higher trims like limited or platinum the plug is a bit harder to get to. Anyone can do it with a screw driver and the tool that they include in the kit.

This worked absolutely amazing on my 2021 toyota highlander LE.Installation was fairly easy, unplug and replug the wire harness when you’re done so everything recalibrates.

Easy to install and easy to use. You press the lock button 3x to start the car. As a safety feature, the car will run for 15 mins before turning off and car will also turn off when you open the door. It’s not a biggie having to turn car back on. No more sitting in the cold waiting for my car to warm up. Best thing I bought for my car.

After finding out that the factory remote start on my wife’s Toyota Highlander would require a monthly subscription “extortion” to some app I decided I absolutely will not pay extra to use something that we already purchased. In comes Start-X and they’re awesome and easy to install products. I’ve installed a total of 3 of them and all have been great. The hardest part about installing these is literally taking the car apart and putting it back together which they make easy with videos, and good customer service. Thank you for helping me tell greedy Toyota to stuff their BS extortion where the sun don’t shine!

The video is misleading but overall a good quality device to keep wife happy with heating up car in cold or freezing temps. Did not like instructions to plug the harness into the DCM. In 2021 Highlander it was located behind the motherboard underneath the USB & cigarette lighter plugins. Had to blindly get hands back in small area to unplug the head. There were no precise instructions on how to accomplish this task. If you look on the harness for the connector that eventually fits into the DCM, you can see the tab that has to be pushed down upon to release the connector. Otherwise, you will not get it released. Better video & instructions needed here. Programming the black control module from kit was easy with instructions included. Do like product & wife happy.

Toyota like other auto manufacturers are now charging a monthly and or a yearly subscription charge for remote charging. I find this a sleazy practice. I researched alternatives and found Start X Remote Starter as being a high rated product that works.

To start with, it works! Wow. Lovely treat to be able to remotely start the car on a cold winter morning. Happy we bought it. BUT… Whoa… Have you ever pried open the center console of your car? Terrifying. The video and instructions make it look too easy. It’s freaking nerve-wracking. It took prayers and my stubbornness to detach the USB ports and electric lighter cables, which was conveniently omitted in the instructional video. There’s no explanation of where/how to zip tie the starter down inside. Long story short… If you buy this, consider getting it professionally installed by someone who does alarms, stereo installs, etc. If you’re a newbie like me, you risk ripping open your console and screwing up the install. I think I succeeded through luck and determination. Watch the video a thousand times, give yourself plenty of time, have a buddy and you’ll get through it. Again, happy we have ours working.
