To activate simply take the red button from the cap and attach it to the pin on the bottom of the can. Place the top of the aerosol can on stable ground and push the button firmly. Shake again for two minutes to ensure activator is thoroughly mixed with primer. After activated SprayMax Epoxy Primer will last approximately 4 days. Product Characteristics: SprayMax 3680034 Black Epoxy primer spray can has excellent adhesion and anticorrosion properties. Can be used on Zinc-Coated Steel, Anodized Aluminum, Hot-rolled or Cold Rolled Steel, Fiberglass, and many other surfaces.Preparation: Properly clean and sand surfaces to be primed. Use a good quality grease and wax remover before priming. Apply 2-3 coats of product. Allow 5-10 minutes between coats. This stuff has a great finish and is as hard as regularly applied epoxy paint. Recoats great at 15, 30-minute intervals. 15 min between 1st and second 30 min between second and third. Let cure for 24 hours and perfect results. No dealing with mixing, straining, or flash times. Just strike the button and paint. Just remember it is a chemical reaction and the paint will cure in the can. Use it before its pot time expires. Good luck.

Can be sprayed on any angle. Covers a lot more than a typical can spray of paint. Wide spray is nice to cover area fast. Nice flat black. Dry time is decent. Seems to be more durable than regular spray paint.

Not sure why other reviewers have had some of the issues they did. I was very happy with the results I got. Sprays nice and has an actual fan on the tip. I will be saving it for other spray cans even.Paint dried quickly and is hard. I was able to cover a door and rocker panel with one can. It’s a smooth finish and gives me a good surface to work with for filler, primer surfacer, then finally paint.Id imagine you could probably do a whole car with 6-8 cans. At that point I’d just get a gallon of paint though but if you don’t have a compressor it’s an option. This was by far the easiest spray can to paint with in my experience and being a 2k paint I have no worries about it holding up long term which will be important since everything else will be holding onto it for adhesion.

Covered 1 blotchy coat about 20 square feet. Maybe sprays better if can is held upright only, but I’m spoiled by how Rust-Oleum pro sprays easily with good pattern at any angle. Sprayed in almost a pulsing pattern, with no paint at all every foot or so. Mine didn’t spatter, it just gave a very splotchy, horribly uneven coverage. If this is ‘good’ 2k primer in a can, it’s time to buy a sprayer, because it’s garbage. Also hazmat so you can’t return, yet Amazon managed to send it to my door? Sketchy… More like no return because bad product.

UNBELIEVABLE adhesion, coverage, I was doing a road bike and one can gave me multiple coatsI ended up with one HELL of a gorgeous primer job, I know the primer’s job is just to stick to metal, but the color was also super even, no darker anywhere, and I NEVER had an easier color basecoat over primer, my basecoat came out GREAT on top of this. Highly recommended, I will never be able to stray from 2k

Worked well, though the coverage is a little thin even with the adjustable nozzle on max. It dries to the touch very quickly. I would use again for small project that don’t make sense use a quart from the paint supplier and have to deal with all the mixing and cleaning of spray gun.

Followed all mixing and shaking instructions, it mostly spitted few shots rather than sprayed, then stopped completely. Almost nothing came out, I wish I used sooner from purchase to return it, now it’s dead weight.

The good- Worked great, directions are clear and concise for applying. I used it to paint chrome colored wheels on a 2004 Jeep. Went on nice, and one can covered all 4 wheels. Dries quickly, nice flat finish. Would definitely recommend. Was a little hesitant to purchase as there are some “other” options, Really happy with results.
