I occasionally jump from a diesel truck with dual engine batteries to another boat or vehicle. The best jumpers from the local automotive shops pack easily, but they will melt or even catch on fire if the other battery is low or dead. These cables are heavy and robust. I also appreciate the separate positive and negative cables for ease of handling. Get these if you intend to jump from big diesels. If you want something that packs lightly or in a small space, they may not be for you,

After my very cheap copper-plated jumper cables failed for multiple reasons (including that copper plating corroded and wore off), I decided to get some high-quality jumper cables that would last long time. These jumper cables claim to be high-quality and made of all copper, and having received them today, I think that the claims are justified. Everything about the product checks out to specs. Some of the negative reviews reported weak crimping and connections between the cable and the jumper clamps, but I think those reviews are wrong. The cables connect to the clamps with a Panduit connector S4-56R made of copper with a slight tin plating to reduce corrosion (one of the accompanying pictures shows the connector). The crimping connection to the wire seems very solid. The connections out to the jaws of the clamp are also all copper and appear to be quite thick and heavy duty. The body of the clamp is made of a nonconducting plastic that seems very solid. I would recommend the product and buy it again if I needed another set.

I use these in my work trucks. They have been used several times to help others out. Twice I’ve used them on 30’ straight trucks with 3 batteries with no issue.Pure copper wire is the only kind to get.I recommend these cables for anyone who needs a solid work driven pair of cables.Spartan Power makes a great product!

My old jumper cables wires broke where they were attached to the clamps. They only lasted a few months. These Spartan jumper cables were listed as 1-gauge and they certainly are! These are truly heavy duty gauge wiring. Because of that they are very heavy and a bit bulky, but one should expect that! Judging from their construction, I expect these to last quite a few trouble-free years. I can still stow them under the rear seat of my pickup truck (Ram 1500) in spite of their size. I have not yet had to use them, it if there is any issue with them in the future I will update this review. Right now, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. They are more costly than the thin gauge ones, but you get what you pay for!

These are the best that you can get, absent paying five times the price.There are several things which I love about these:1. They remain flexible even in the cold.2. The positive and negative cables are separate, decreasing the likelihood of having them touch each other as you are hooking them up. Also, they make it easier for attaching the negative to a ground portion of the car being jumped, just so you don’t risk an explosion from a leaking battery.3. The cables are pure copper, as opposed to copper plated aluminum! This is huge!!4. The clamps are also pure copper. This, also, is huge!5. The cables are attached to both the bottom and the top portions of the clamps, giving you the ability to provide a higher and more reliable charge from the jumping battery to the battery being jumped. This is also huge!6. Very heavy duty and easy to use!7. Love that they also come with a storage bag!

These jumper cables are high quality. The clamps are strong and the wire is thick. The positive and negative wires are separate, which is very nice. Came with a carry bag and strap. They cost a lot more than copper clad aluminum jumper cables, but full copper wire jumper cables are worth the investment. I purchased these hoping I will never have to use them, but know if i need to, they will take care of my needs and not leave me stranded.

This was completely as advertised. Conductors are all copper and the clamps are great — replaceable and both sides of the clamp are at the same electrical potential. I wish all of today’s products were this well made. You will not go wrong getting these cables. Not looking forward to using them but when I do I know they will do the job!

I was really impressed with these 15ft cables and knew right off that I made the right decision. Heavy gauge copper wire resembling welding cables like the jumpers I had for years that were stolen years ago. The carry bag is great and keeps the cables in a portable package. Really pleased. If you want quality cables these are it. Oh and MADE IN USA!
