SO, these showed up at the door, and when I opened the box, it was great to see how well packaged they were.The shackles were very heavy duty feeling, and the rope seems like a great addition to the package. I love that it’s all packed in a nice carrying case.I went and placed the shackles on the Jeep, and they fit the bumper’s anchor points perfectly.They look great and, while I hope to never need to use them, seem like they will hold up just fine.

Theres allot to like here you get 5 items for $40 so at about eight dollars between the 5 pieces it’s a great deal. The shackles are heavy duty both for the steel and rope ones. I could not be happier with this set and since it all comes in a case it’s easy to keep everything under the set or in the trunk without loosing one or two when you need it.

Sometimes you need steel shackles, other times the soft shackles are the better choice. So it’s rather nice to have a pair of both in a single case. The shackles fit in the case, but it’s a tight fit.About the steel shackles:These are a nice set of 3/4 D-Shackles. Heavy duty and pretty!- I assume these to be quality steel. Based on my highly-calibrated hand, I’d say these have a tiny bit more heft and hardness than the galvanized ones I’ve held….But I wouldn’t want to be smacked with either.- WLL and CE Rated and Stamped- Unlike some of the cheaper galvanized ones I’ve held, the fit and finish on these is very smooth. The pin aligns well to the holes, and threads are also smooth. That said, there is a little friction on getting one of the collar/rings in one of the shackles, but nothing unmanageable.- The rubber protectors and washers are “plastic” rubber. They fit well, and are welcomed inclusions for protecting the shackle (strap wear) and hitches (side slap/bang), and minimizing rattling.- I really like the fire-engine red color…bold and bright. These will be beat up and rusty eventually, but the protectors help, and they are damn pretty now!About the soft shackles:- These also seem like quality shackles.- I like the bright orange. Very visible.- And of course the come with protective nylon sleeves.

These 3/4 steel and soft shackles are a great add to your recovery equipment. The steel shackles have a nice finish with the rubber insulators. The soft shackles will be a good fit for lighter duty pulls or where the steel shackles cannot be used. The carry case is a nice feature although it takes some patience to get everything back in nicely and securely. Not sure about the claimed strength specs but I’ll never get close to that with my JK. I live in a mountain neighborhood and encounter people every winter that need a quick yank to get going again. I would recommend these for those instances.

This product is a must have for any 4×4 owner or towing service. They’re an easy way to connect more length to existing rope or chain, they don’t create an impossible mission of trying to get out a knot or release from anything. They come with a convenient carrying case that isn’t huge and bulky and taking up way to much space. Worth every penny spent and more. The quality you’re getting on this product will last years and years. It’s always nice to keep some sort of emergency hardware around for various situations, this I feel is a very important thing to have on hand. Great buy

This recovery set is a good one to have. It comes with 2 soft shackles, and 2 D-Shackles. The included carry case keeps them all together. Overall a solid pick.
