Mahana Kine –
We have been waiting for this model to come out for our Thor Quantum MB24 and couldn’t be happier that we finally have one. We do a lot of beach camping and always worry about losing the key, but no more of that for us. The whole removal/install took no more than 20 minutes.
The Cinruskin –
The lock is well made and very substantial. It feels like it will last a long time. I removed the old lock and put the new lock into the hole to check for sizing. I had to grind out some of the fiberglass around the old handle hole as the manufacturer (Fleetwood) left some jagged edges sticking out. I noticed that the new handle was about 2 mm smaller than the old one and the area under the old handle was not painted, so the white stood out. I took some extra time and painted the area black so that it was less obvious when the new handle was installed.I put the interior handle in the hole and found that the adjustment rod didn’t align properly, so I took the handle back out and bent the rod a little. That made it align properly. I agree with the recommendation to have someone help hold the outside handle in place while putting in the three screws that hold the inside and outside together.I checked to make sure that both handles worked before closing the door. Then I tried closing the door and testing the lock. Everything was lined up perfectly.Programming the remotes and the code was very easy and only took seconds.Overall, it was a very easy install for a class A motorhome that did not take very long at all. I would recommend this handle to anyone who is interested in not having to carry keys around to get into their RVs, as well as anyone who is worried about their current lock’s security.
