Every bit as good and the competitor, follow the instructions and tune it for your charging needs but, it make clean steady power. I tested it on my system with no batteries 53 amp constant draw in 80 degree environment, it took about 5 seconds to adjust to draw and 15 seconds after that the cooling fan turned on i ran it for 5 hours, unit was 88 degrees and had no issues holding that draw. Use it on my batteries with solar charging and the smart charge adapted to the input from the panels and cycled correctly.

this charger charges fast and hard that being said it is hard on generators my honda 3500 burnt out the capacitor in it so I bought a 4800 inverter generator burnt up something in it too now running on a 8500 watt and it still does not like it as well now my gas bill went from 6 bucks to 13 bucks to charge the battery bank a daywhat a waist of money I am about to get a different charger and trying to get ahold of the warranty company for the 2 generators if they don’t I will be out 2300. for the honda and 1000. for the inverter one plus the price of the charger that destroyed them all its about 3600. bucks im out im screwed becous of this

I have been using this to charge my battery for my little scooter and it seems to ve working great. It charges it in like 5 hours and the battery doesn’t seem go get hot or anything. I’m sure you could charge other batteries too but I have never tried.

I just installed this into a camper last night. This unit seemed well built and was easy to install. The main thing you should know is that there is an adjustment screw on the side ranging from 13 volts to 16 volts. You will need to use your voltmeter) to adjust it to the proper voltage you need (13.6 volts recommended for most RV’s and it states that they recommend that voltage in the paperwork. They do supply a small screwdriver to perform this adjustment. I would purchase again for sure.

Worked great to charge and keep charged backup batteries until it stopped outputting voltage. Checked the fuses and then looked inside and found a charred resistor and power IC. This happened under mild conditions, ~20amp current draw while topping off batteries. Was not around to witness smoking or a smell when it failed.
