It leaked exhaust at the turbo outlet due to a warped sealing surface. I disassembled cleaned and installed new band clamps, but thatt didn’t work. Then I even tried exhaust assembly paste, but it still leaked exhaust into the cabin when stopped. I finally gave up and reinstalled the stock downpipe and no more leak. Many many hours of waisted time and a big waist of money. Very dissappointing.

High quality product, excellent craftsmanship, fit, finish, and performance! Arrived perfectly intact, great care in packaging. Had absolutely no issue with clearance or anything, installed on my 2013 crew cab Silverado LML Duramax, in addition to PPE’s stainless up pipes. Very minor change in tone (slightly throatier) no change in volume, but can definitely hear more turbo on my emissions compliant truck. Has only been installed for a few hundred miles, but so far very satisfied.

I installed this with a turbocharger upgrade, so I had the cab off already, which made it a breeze to put in on my 2012 Duramax. It fit well and lined up as it should. Nice sound change in exhaust tone. Part appears to be quality. Does not come with any bungs if you are removing any sensors with your install so be aware of that.

The down pipe came just as described. PPE knows what they are doing and it shows with the quality of the craftsmanship of their products. Another home run!

Getting out the old down pipe was a huge pain. I had to take off the V band clamps from both sides of the down pipe and take out the one bracket bolt holding the down pipe and wiggle it loose. Then take off the 3 bolts holding the heat shield on the down pipe with the help of the DP now being loose and able to manipulate its movement to access the heat shield bolts easier. After the 3 bolts on the heat shield were removed I slowly worked out the heated shield through the top of the motor with vice grips over the turbo with the down pipe loose to help with wiggle room. Once the heat shield was out the down pipe came out with ease. Putting the new PPE down pipe in was a piece of cake. Everything fit together perfectly and zero leaks. Very happy with the product. EGT’s are lowered, throttle response is improved, in cab noise is quieter, full throttle has more of a growl then a high pitched Chewbacca scream.

This downpipe is built like a tank and (after a frustrating install process…if you know you know…) the tone and spool speed definitely improved. I’d buy again if I end up with another LML truck for sure.

Long story short. This fits a 2011 lml – 2015 I believe. Most of the welds were great. I’m not sure what happened to the turbo mouthpiece area but there was some real sloppy welds that required so attention before i could install it. I needed something next day and this did show up on time. I can fix the lazy welders issues I suppose. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t built on a Friday…..Be patient getting your old downpipe out. It is a PAIN IN THE A$$. This new aftermarket one goes in much easier!! I used a slide hammer with a pair of vice grips welded to the end to grab onto the heat shield and that allowed me to rip it out of the way and remove the factory pipe.

Very easy to install and the quality is in your best investment for which it’s intended for. Beware of the 9th injector get the plugs that’s needed. Do your home work, you’ll appreciate it later
