This is a new polished aluminum dual plane intake for big block Chevy engines. For use with ’65-’00 396, 402, 427, and 454s with general duty oval port heads. Does not fit tall deck blocks.
180⪚ design for power off-idle to 6000 RPM. May be used with OEM or aftermarket carburetors, has dual pattern for spread bore Quadrajet or square bore Holley style carbs. Includes adapter plate when running square bores. Provides standard bosses and tapped holes for street accessories such as A/C and alternator brackets. Includes provision for exhaust heated choke. Not EGR equipped. Does not fit under stock Corvette hoods.
This intake is perfect for everyday drivers to medium performance street applications. They are produced from steel molds to reduce core shift, have all the major features you would expect on the expensive ones such as 4 corner water outlet ports, nitrous/injector bosses, and the best part – the price!
This is a stock replacement/street legal part for 396, 402, 427, and 454 V8s with OEM 4-bbl carb; 1965-â€72 (1973 non-CA) passenger cars and 1966-â€83 trucks, Suburbans, and heavy vehicles except stock equipped EGR.

Nice intake… I had read in a blog that this intake would work with peanut port heads.. Well,, it depends on if your heads have a water jacket around the exhaust crossover… Mine do,, so I machined the edge and welded a block of aluminum in to make the sides wide enough to cover..

This is going on my 454 bbc. It looks great.The packaging was spot on as was the quality finnish.My only complaint was the bolt surface area.Some of the 1/2 inch bolt holes have no surface area for the head of the bolt. No washer area because of the curvature of the design of the ports being so close to the bolt area.Not cool…I had to surface the area so my bolts would seat evenly. Yeah, now I have thinner port walls.Pay the money. Get quality parts.

It looks nice untill you put it on, it is very poorly made, I had to egg two bolt holes out and grind into the sides of the manifold on several bolt holes just to get the bolts to bolt down flat because one side of the bolts on on a ridge I can’t believe this company wouldn’t even leave enough room to for the bolts to screw down, after all that I just hope it seals ok.

There’s one bolt hole by the thermostat coolant port, that wasn’t machined right so you can’t get the bolt in, but I just used extra sealant, besides the one bolt, there’s no issues
