The product looks to be made well. PDF versions of the instructions don’t seem to be available. Emails to Tech Support go unanswered.Update:I eventually received the PDF instructions. Apparently my email ended up in an un-monitored folder. The CSR was apologetic and polite. These things happen, so I raised my rating from 3 to 5.

This is the first sampling pump I’ve purchased. I put it to use almost immediately, sampling oil on a Ram 3500 with the 6.7L Cummins engine. The 1/4 inch tube attached to the pump perfectly with no issues. I had to change to a 3/16 flexible fuel line tubing because of the Cummins dip stick tube. The 3/16 line worked, but didn’t tighten down quite as good. I thought the threads were going to strip on the yellow plastic head because of how much you had to tighten it so the O-ring would fit snug on the 3/16″ tubing. At one point, I noticed the thumb screw looked like it was setting at an angle – like it was cross threading or trying to jump threads. I loosened it then tightened it back down a little less tight than before. The vacuum worked excellent however, and I was able to get a sample after some other difficulty with the 3/16 tubing that was not related to this pump.

This works very well with the Oil Sample Bottles that are used for Engine Oil Analysis:1. Sample bottle screws on securely.2. 1/4″ Rigid translucent tubing fits easily down engine dipstick tube.3. Pump quickly pulls up oil sample. Release valve provides easy control to prevent overfilling.4. Only the tubing and sample bottle touches the oil. The pump remains uncontaminated. No need to change oil. Sample taken is small, so oil level is essentially unchanged.Take the oil sample after the engine has warmed up.

This sampling pump is absolutely wonderful and so beneficial for anyone who sends engine oil samples to be tested, ie, Blackstone Labs. All I had to purchase to use this pump was a 1/4 inch water tubing and it literally took two minutes to pull a sample directly from the dipstick of our Prius V.Did I mention this is made in the USA? Well, it is, and purchasing this helps to keep Americans families employed and fed and at this time of year, presents for the kids. under the Christmas Tree.Wonderful pump, terrific company, super fast shipping, great instructions, MADE IN USA, who could ask for more.Oh, and the price is exceptionally reasonable.
