easy quick fix and better then stock

The tabs that you use to screw into the fairing bust off easily. It works well. Put some superglue on the threads to prevent from backing out

Insert went it perfectly. Bout halfway in it does obviously get a little harder because of it threading itself. But the tool works perfectly and as soon as it was even with the top of the hole it was complete. Back the tool out, replaced my fairing and windshield and placed the screws in. Holding better than ever! No directions but they weren’t needed. Super simple to figure out. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it just in case. Entire job took me less than 30 min.

I used a tap first. didn’t want anything to break. On mine, the outside thread were m10x1.5 and the inner were 1/4×20. Put tape on tap at depth I wanted. Put a little silicon adhesive on threads of insert (just because I had some close) and it easily screwed in with tool. Without tapping, the tool would easily break. would buy again.

Quick shipping. Product was perfect fit for 08 FLHTCU. Easy to install. It only took about 10 minutes all in. Highly recommend. And now it’s in the saddlebag for when the other two strip out. You will need to take off the outer fairing.

This was what I needed to replace the insert that came loose on my fairing. The item is hard to thread into the fairing, the handle on the provided tool is not large, so it is difficult to grip. If and when I have to replace more, I will probably tap out the hole as an other reviewer had done.
