This is great, fast installing by my self. The old cap fitted great on top, hopfully it will not break as the old one.Thank you.

Easy to install and works!

made of high density glass fiber reinforced plastic, this unit does NOT have a gasket, you will need one [part number: 053020889AC] to complete installation. other than that it is perfect.
Camo Chris –
Part fit perfectly, only reason not 5 stars was they did not include the rubber gasket and had to resuse the old one. Lucky for me old one was not damaged on removal.

Hubby said this was really quick and easy to install. Apparently someone had broken/glued my original one. We were unaware of that! I hadn’t used my Jeep in a while so the battery was dead. Hubby went under the hood to access the battery when he noticed the filler tube was broken and there was an oily mess on the engine. I guess in hindsight it’s a good thing the battery died, cause as I said we were unaware of the “fixed” filler tube. I will definitely think twice about using a certain garage again. So glad this wasn’t something that had happened while I was on the highway. The engine was also very low on oil because it was leaking out. A bit more time and that could have been catastrophic for my engine. Not cool to all you garages out there that break stuff and then secretly put a “band-aid” on it!! This filler tube seems to be a good product, well made. Be careful not to damage the gasket from your old filler tube when you’re removing it. This new tube does NOT come with a new gasket. You’d have to buy that separately if you damage yours, fyi.
