| Warranty Description | A problem you might find with your machine with this process. After aligning mirror 3 to the X axis. Get it perfect near the front of your machine and then move it to the back. If it is no longer perfect your gantry may not be square or level (your floor may not be level) or something is causing the head to move when you move the Y axis to the back. This is a 4 corner test that checks the stability of your head and the squareness of your gantery. |

Lens, Mirror, Kit, and Alignment Tool Cross Reference Guide
Instructions for the reverse alignment tool – Installation
Step 1: a- Remove lens tube and insert reverse alignment tool. b- Align mirror #3 on the head to mirror #2 on gantry (both near and far until the red dot does not move).
Step 2: a- Align mirror #2 on the gantry to mirror #1 next to the laser (both near and far until the red dot does not move). Mirrors #2 and #3 should be perfectly aligned! b- Lock them down, and do not touch them again!
Step 3: a- With tape on mirror #1, mark a target spot where the red dot hits it. b- Now remove the alignment tool.
Step 4: a- Adjust the laser tube to hit the target spot on mirror #1 (the tube does not need to be level). b- Adjust the front and back supports independently to hit the target spot.
Step 5: a- Reinstall the reverse alignment tool. b- Put tape over the laser entry hole on the laser head.
c- Mark a target spot where the red dot hits the back side of the tape. d- Remove the alignment tool.
Step 6: Adjust mirror #1 both near (top nearest corner to the laser tube) and far (farthest corner from the laser tube) to the target spot on the laser head.
Your alignment is complete!
You may find an issue with your machine during this process: the four corners of your gantry may not be level.
When aligning mirror #3, please bring it to the front of your machine and then move it to the back.
If the alignment of your lenses is not perfect, your gantry is not level.
You will need to adjust the four corners of your machine to get your gantry level first.

I spent 3 days following the so called easy to line up a K40 laser in under 60 minites videos and got nearly there not not quite, saw the videos online for this tool and decided to give it a try, the baterys get used up real quick, 25 min and they was dead but luckily you get a good supply of them with the tool, 10 I think it was, takes 3 at a time but straight away this tool shown me that the laser head was the main problem, took me under 30 minites with this tool and now I have a good even cutting surface all over the bed, this tool is awsome, well made machined and precisse, the laser shines through a hole a fraction of a millimeter, you just unscrew the lens and replace with this tool and line the mirrors in reverse, this thing made aligning the lasers not a breeze but still a heck load faster and way more acurate, plus it saves the use of yards of painters tape, just make sure you have a good supply of batteries, the seller recomends AG3, LR41, SR736, V36A, SR41SW and all of these I have found on Amazon so if you order this tool then get a supply of batteries too.

Got it today in order to align my cloudray k series mirror setup on my homemade Co2 laser. Took me about 20 mins and had everything aligned. Definitely saved me tons of time and headache. You still need to align the first mirror right out of the laser tube the traditional way but this allows you to align both mirrors on the gantry with ease. Worth every penny.

Bought one of these when they first came out for my 60w laser. It got the 60w laser running like a champ. Here we are 3 years later and I had to order a large size for my 150w laser. These are the best quality out there but because of manufacturing processes I can see they are not dead on 100% of the time but this is not an issue as long as you know how to use it properly. The best way to check that the laser alignment tool is machined well is to roll it on a flat table, I use the top of my co2 laser door. Looking at the beam where it hits the wall, roll the laser on the flat surface and you might see a slight wobble. If you see no wobble then you can reverse align mirror 3 (the final head with the air tube and lens) and mirror 2. If there is a slight wobble you can still align mirror 3 far better than you would without the tool but mirror 2 might be iffy. Even if you have a perfect alignment tool, double check your mirror alignments with the tape burn method. The ability to target the actual laser tube beam at the correct spot on mirror 3 is just icing on the cake. There are a few videos showing why this matters and how much more power you can get out of your final focused beam when everything is done correctly. Would buy again and recommend to anyone I know with a co2 laser.

CO2 laser mirrror alignment can be a pain. This tool greatly simplifies the process and get you back to being productive quickly.

Works as intended but batteries only last around 15 minutes. Could be brighter.
Rita –
If you have a laser head like this, the reverse laser won’t work. It needs a screw to hold the device in.

After a laser head crash I couldn’t get everything aligned. It took longer to load the batteries than it did to align the laser head mirror.

Seriously, I slept on this too long, I watched all the videos about how to align your laser, you know the ones that promise a 10min alignment but the video is 60+ mins long? yes, you should watch them to make sure you gantry is aligned and squared up but after that, use this.I run several K40’s, and alignment is always a PITA, not anymore.10 mins after i got this in the mail i diagnosed one of my k40 issues. the head for mirror 3 was twisted slightly, most likely from shifting every time i took the lens out to clean. after using this i got it dialed in it’s engraving better than when i got it 2 years ago. had a new k40 arrive this week, and right out of the box used the alignment tool, and it was close but not perfect, mirror 2->3 was hitting high. now its dialed in so tight.Like i said, get off the fence and just get it. grab some packs of batteries while you are at it, they are cheap. a flashlight style toggle on the cap would be primo for a rev2 but at this price point and an everyday USA business. JUST. GET. IT. worth every penny.
