We installed this Marine Holding Tank Vent Filter on our boat, and the difference in odor control has been remarkable. The filter uses highly adsorbent coconut shell carbon, which I’ve heard is superior to regular activated carbon, and it certainly seems to perform better. Our previous setup, using the original Dometic ECO DVF, was okay but still let some unwanted smells escape, especially in warmer weather. This filter is a direct replacement, fitting perfectly into the existing mounting brackets without any modifications needed – a huge plus for ease of installation. It’s compatible with Sealand SaniGuard systems too, which is great if you have one of those.
