STEP 1: Drill Out the Old Threads
- Use the drill supplied in the repair kit.
- Ensure the drill is perpendicular to the work surface.
- Maintain the proper drilling speed during drill bit usage.

STEP 2: Counterbore the Hole
- Use the counterboring tool supplied in the kit.
- The tool has a built-in depth-stop feature that limits the counterbore to the proper depth for the installation of the insert.

STEP 3: Tap the Insert Installation Threads
- Use the tap supplied in the kit.
- Ensure the tap is perpendicular to the work surface.
