This replacement valve element was labeled as for the hot side, but it actually had the action for the cold side. I installed the original sink faucet assembly exactly as it came out of the package, but some how the hot and cold sides wound up in conflict with the spares. Fortunately I ordered both a hot and a cold spare and was able to fix my hot side problem. Otherwise a great replacement.

I went to Kohler’s website to determine which cartridge I needed. This was the part number that they provided. However, the nut included does not fit in my sink. Thankfully, I was able to reuse the old one. Seems like an unfortunate oversight from Kohler.

Ordered the HOT valve, received the Kohler valve in the package that labeled is the HOT valve BUT it was the COLD valve when installed since it worked backwards! WTF??? I just ordered a COLD valve to see what happens now…stay tuned…this is really messed up! -49 vs -50 at the end of the part #
