Description
Check the specifications, dimensions, variation details, referenced part numbers, and available fitment evidence before matching this item to an application.
Made of steel and has a folding tip to minimize the damaging effects of impact, reducing the chance of damaging your transmission or shift shaft. Stiffer design eliminates that sloppy feeling of stock levers for more positive shifting response. Won’t let the bike jump out of gear when the lever hits an obstacle. Cheaper and more durable than stock shift levers. For: Yamaha YZ/WR400F 98-02, YZ/WR450F 03-09, YZ426F 98-02, YZF/WR250F 98-09.

Didn’t fit well on my yz250f and bent after a decent crash (to be expected). The initial fitment really bothered me, the pedal was too far out from the case.

I’ve stripped out 3 aluminum cheap shift levers for my YZ250F. If your like me and get abusive when it won’t go into gear (not on purpose i just have heavy legs) this is what you need. The IMS lever is made from steel, not weak crappy aluminum like stock and most replacements. The fit was pretty good to start but you may need to tap it into place, feels WAY sturdier than original. I have a feeling this one will last me far longer than the alum version.

Way longer than stock shift on my 2005 Yamaha raptor 350. But I guess it’s ok with riding boots on.

Adds almost 1” of clearance on a KLX230 but does require minor bending to improve fitment. Overall a good choice for a bike that doesn’t have many options.

Looks good, feels great and was super easy to install.

Fit and works perfect on my ‘87 Yamaha 350 Warrior. Feels smoother to shift and it’s way easier to find neutral. The old linkage setup that Yamaha puts on these quads are junk. Super high quality part.

Good replacement for the linkage style OEM shifter on my ‘03 warrior 350. Fit great, easily clears the case even when set high enough for riding boots, and has a better feel than the linkage style.

The welds broke on the end for the “peg” just from me testing the shifter by hand. Didn’t even get to ride the quad. Looking closer I wouldn’t even call it a weld. Barely a tack. Stay away from this!
