Tom –
It’s the factory part. Way easier than going through the hassle of having a local dealer order it. From my experience, they’d get the order wrong, and want to charge me for installing it.Details – it’s a retractable cargo area cover for a 2nd generation Xterra. It fits just behind the read seat, and pulls back to the tailgate. Works great, takes longer to get it out of the box than install it, it’s spring loaded. I think all the new Xterras have the mounting sockets for this, so it just slips in. Keeps people from seeing cargo behind the rear seat. Easy to take out again if you need to haul bigger things.

Fit is perfect, it doesn’t extend all the way to the side. Someone can still peek in and see stuff close to the side. Also it should have been designed to but against the back seat so , again the stuff being stored can be more concealed.

Fits 2015 Xterra. As one reviewer mentioned the cover doesn’t cover the cargo area 100%. There is a small gap on all sides. But it’s good enough.

I bought this because I keep my uniform in my car and would hate to get my car broken into because of it. I have a 2014 Xterra and it fit perfectly. The instalation took all of 2 minutes and it looks very clean. The screen that actually covers the cargo area is made of a type of vinyl and the instructions say not to put anything on the cover. I haven’t done so, and have had bo issues
Jeff Sorrentino –
Too highly priced with an inherent flaw in design. This is now the second one I have gotten and is having the same issue as the first one. The ends that hold it in place at the back of the care are prone to bending and eventually breaking off – rendering the product worthless.Save your money, do not buy if you want it to last without need of replacement again!

Nissan OEM part… so yeah, quality. Works well to hide my cargo, easy to remove when I have larger cargo or fold down the seats. I THINK the truck is a little bit quieter with it as well. Seems to hold some of the road noise in the back, especially on rainy days when the tires are kicking stuff up into the wheel wells. It DID require a signature upon delivery, which meant I needed to forward it to a local fedex store (so added 2 days to the shipping).

Transaction went over very well, product snapped right into place. Very satisfied.

The quality of the item is as expected, fit and function are equally good. This fit my 2008 Xterra as it’s made for the 2nd generation body style. The 1st generation unit is slightly shorter in width and will not fit the mounting slots. Perfect for keeping items in hatch area secure from outside view.

This product was brainless to install, took no effort at all, I would say it is fairly expensive to me but worth the price I paid for it. This product conceals the cargo are of you’re suv flawlessly with a small exposure area near the rear lift gate but hardly noticeable. The product is not fit for setting items onto due to the retractable function but light items will set on top no problems. (Items set on top during motion will slide around)
E and the Boys –
Fits perfectly, metal not plastic case around retractable cover. Able to hide what if anything is in the back of the Xterra.Out of stock in warehouse through dealership where it was priced around $70 instead of the $100 on Amazon. Worth the extra to have it before a trip in a few months instead of calling the dealership every few weeks to see if it was back in stock and could be ordered.
