I have an Rv and change my oil myself. An oil change stakes about 6 gallons of oil and I needed something to catch the oil. This works perfectly.First, the catch area is large and the capacity can handle two oil changes. Dumping an old oil filter containing 3 quarts of dirty oil is much easier. I don’t know what it is about dirty oil from a diesel, but it is REALLY dirty.Second, it is short enough to slide under my Ford Ranger. We had to jack up my Grandson’s HHR a little to get it under the car and I am sure I heard the Blitz say “Is that all there is?” after we dumped the Ranger and the HHR.Third, it is well built and has wheels. A great drain spout that fits a hole in a fifty gallon drum.Fourth, very easy to take to the recycle center and get rid of the old oil.The only complaint I have is that it doesn’t clean itself afterwards…..

I work for a small moving company (4WeHelp) and we decided we could save a lot of money by changing out own fluids. Since we don’t have a bay or lift of any type we needed a drain pan that could fit under a truck and catch 5-7 gallons of fluids. This thing is perfect, we can change two trucks oil before we have to empty it. The drain cap screws on tight and it has wheels and sturdy handles all the way around that makes it easy to move when full.Pros:Easy to useCloses tightLarge capacityWheels and handles make it easy to moveCons:None

Works great for draining the oil in my Kenworth highway tractor. It does make a mess if you drop oil right onto the pan as it splashes. I cut out the center completely and try to aim the stream right in the hole. The plugs and wheels make moving around used oil a breeze.

This is one of the best oil drain pans on the market outside of a garage. You don’t have a garage, it’s for you. I purchased this for use on a bus! It can handle any car, bus, truck. And the beauty of it is the oil you drain is contained.. And you can roll it away. Flexibility, because an oil change can happen both inside and outside and 3 types of vehicles.

We have a number of vehicles on our homestead and that leads to a lot of fluid changes annually. I needed this thing to change the hydraulic fluid on my tractor. It has since served as my reservoir to store my oil until I need to take it in for recycling. I am most impressed with Flotool’s customer service. After 10 years my cap cracked and I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere online so I called their customer service. They asked what I needed and are sending it out free of charge. If and when this thing breaks, I will definitely replace it with the same thing. Great companies make great products!!!

I’m still giving it a five stars but it could use a handle on the bottom side near the wheels. 10 gallons of oil is pretty heavy to try to lift it any other way.

Seems rugged. I haven’t filled it with oil yet but I’m sure it will do fine. It shipped to me missing the center plug which is a bummer but they shipped a replacement plug a couple weeks later. I bought it because it’s easy to move around when empty for my mobile business. Overall, It seems like a cheaper and lightweight way to drop the oil in your HD trucks.

So far I’ve only used this once but it worked well. No leakage whatsoever. I used it to hold used transmission fluid from my utility tractor. It sat in the container for about a year before I finally took it to the hazmat place. During transport there was nothing spilled. The wheels were especially helpful as I am a one man show.
