Good price and unit arrive earlier then posted. Operating and installation instruction are straight forward. I bought theTow Ready 20127 Universal Single Plug Harness and solder it to the pigtail that came with my Toyota Tacoma. This makes an easy wire harness that you can disconnect the brake actuator and store it when not in use.

Very Good Product. Easy to install when you have a wire jack on the truck like we do in our Tundra. It made braking in our 9,500 lb travel trailer much more effective. I wouldn’t pull a trailer without a manual brake controller such as this – EVER!!! It allows you to increase braking strength and power on the trailer brakes when you’re going down a steep grade. This saves the truck brakes. Before installation of this controller, our truck brakes would begin to chatter after a couple of miles of downhill. The only problem I had was that during installation, I somehow tweaked the wiring to the brake sensor on the Tundra. It caused the truck’s computer to delay acceleration to the engine on takeoff. Toyota re-adjusted the sensor at no charge, thankfully. The truck was still under warranty.

I bought this brand because two other trucks already had them. Get used to the way one works, the others will be the same, no? We’ll see. Function, durability, yet to be seen. I have one big gripe. With the control buttons mounted on the top, there was no way to mount the thing under the dash, and be able to use the buttons. I am a mechanic and a commercial truck driver. I own trucks ranging from 1/2 ton to tractor / trailer. The shape of this thing, combined with the furnished bracket, did not allow it to be installed, conveniently, on any of those trucks. The shape is fine, if you want to mount it on top of something. I’d happily trade all the ergonomic sculpting for a rectangular box that works.

AWESOME product. This little guy is small and easy to install out of the way. I don’t know much about the settings, which may sound dumb for a review, however, my last one had only GAIN setting and my electric trailer tires kept locking up. I thought it was something wrong with the brakes and had adjusted them multiple times. This has two settings and completely fixed my lock up problems. This was $20-25 less than a big name brand parts supply store too. I pull a two axle trailer about once a month.It’s was an easy plug and play, nothing else to do on my 2013 Toyota Tundra.

Just your basic trailer brake. I installed this in my 2014 Dodge Durango so I could tow my trailer loaded with my side-by-side. Works great. Very easy to install if you buy the appropriate harness. As a note, my vehicle has a factory tow package so I already had the need plugin located under my dash. Those of you who do not have a tow package and are not pre-wired, your install could be much more involved than my 10-minute installation.

Work well, used it on a 28” travel trailer!. Works great easy to installed.One thing to keep in mind when you install theses aftermarket brake controller, they will cancel your cruise control, it seems to be a common problem. I accept that I do not need my cruise control, there are no solution for this issues.

Easy hook up, I didn’t even mount it in my tacoma just sits in the tray. Used an adapter to the pre-wired cord and was good to go. Tricky to figure out how to adjust it at first as the trailers brakes were sticky. Left it high for the mountains but city driving have to turn it down real low. Works as advertised though

This is a replacement controller that is used on a tandem axle trailer with 4 wheel brakes. Just bolt in place and no need to do any angle adjustments. All you do is set gain and time from 1 to 3 seconds for where the brake gain is set. My trailer is 1.5 empty and 3 with a car on it for gain. No problem stopping when loaded or empty. Highly recommend this controller and very small in size.
