I put this in a few days ago, its still working and works great. I went on “YouTube” to make sure I was doing this right and be 100% sure of the install and that was perfect. The website is on the instructions. The install took me about 15min on my 2017 Ram 1500 and fit well. I needed to take out the rubber stopper/wedge to make room for both the new shock and the new plastic clamp for the wire that is included. Read the instructions and go on YouTube. Make sure this fits YOUR vehicle before you order it. NO need to drill holes. I love the product, Price is great, good quality and it was delivered quickly. I do recommend this and would order it again. G.P. Just a follow up on this….I have had it a few weeks now and it is still great BUT the extra cable attachment that comes with this gets caught up sometimes when opening and closing the tailgate. Its not that much of an issue but you have to be careful with the tailgate when you open/close it. I may just take off the cable attachment but I am not sure the cable will fall into place when closed.It is on there pretty tight so I don’t want to bugger up either one.

Der Heckklappendämpfer wurde schnell und unkompliziert geliefert.Dank der Beschreibung mit Text und Zeichnungen ist er mit wenigen Werkzeuge einfach zu montieren.Die Passgenauigkeit in den vorgesehenen Öffnungen ist sehr gut.Die Heckklappe am Dodge RAM wird nun beim Öffnen durch den Dämpfer langsam geöffnet und muss nicht mehr von Hand gehalten werden.Langzeit Prognosen kann ich noch nicht abgeben, hoffe aber das er lange zuverlässig arbeitet .Gutes Produkt.

Instructions mentioned about 9 turns to get the assembly secured was a bit off. Hardware bolt that is used to anchor the assist rod to the tailgate shattered. Seems be properly tight and I was able to tighten the socket screw to secure the mounting plate. For now it operates as expected. Be prepared to go to the toolbox for help.

Installation was easy. Instructions are good and easy to follow. This works well in my 2022 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock. My tailgate now goes down nice and smoothly. Seems well made and should last a while. Worth the extra $$ over all of the clones out there. I like to stick with name brands and DEEZEE is a trusted brand.

Installed one of these on both of my 2016 Ram 1500’s. The product seems very well made & the install was not to hard. Makes the tailgate come down nice and easy. I would recommend this product to anyone to install one of these on your truck.

Easy install, works very well. No difference closing the tailgate. Opening the tailgate, just pop the handle and let it go. Nice and slow all the way down. 2018 Ram 1500 Tradesman.

Yeah it’s something all trucks should have and I think a lot of new ones do but I put this on my 2012 Dodge Ram and makes a huge difference the tailgate doesn’t slam down like it used to
