Good quality product, but the absolute best part was the quality of the instructions and ease of installation. It comes with four pages of illustrated, easy to follow installation instructions, and everything is extremely well labeled. There are even removable stickers on the crossbars themselves to indicate the front and rear crossbar, and which side goes towards the front of the vehicle. Pro tip, as I started to remove these stickers, the wife suggested leaving them on, in case we ever need to remove and reinstall. They’re unobtrusive, you can see one in the attached photo on the front crossbar. Start to finish, it took no more than 20 minutes. Other comments:- The crossbars are slightly adjustable in length to fit. On our 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited, the required adjustment position was all the way out, as far as it’ll go. You’ll need an allen wrench (not included) to make the adjustments.- Comes with a wrench to install the bolts to the roof rails. Does not come with a trim removal tool. My one bit of worry before buying was getting the trim tabs off the car’s roof rails in order to install this. I’m always paranoid about tearing up the car. I shouldn’t have been worried. Like most Toyota products, the trim tabs were well designed and very easily removable, in about 5 seconds using a butter knife. No special tool required.- Confirmed that these do not interfere with the operation of the sunroof. If you notice, these sit a bit higher than some other bars you’ll see. That’s why.- My one “issue”, if you can even call it that, is that the silver color comes from paint, not brushed, polished or clear coated aluminum. When I read these were aluminum bars, “silver in color to match roof side rails”, I expected it to be polished or brushed aluminum, with a gloss finish to “match roof side rails”, as the description says. It’s not. It’s painted silver, which doesn’t exactly match. I also worry about the long term durability of the paint, sliding a roof carrier on and off. Had I known in advance it was paint and not polished aluminum, I might have bought the black one instead. But no worries, these look nice too. See photo.In summary, these are nice quality, but the absolute best part is the quality of instructions and ease of installation. If you’re worried about doing this yourself, don’t be. It’s easy.

I bought this roof rack for my 2019 Toyota Highlander XLE. It came with alot of dealer installed extras (it was the eye-catcher floor model), so I decided to not have them add on little things that weren’t game-breakers, but I still wanted them. I’ve bought and installed a bunch if aftermarket items like internal LED floor lighting, leather inserts for the wheel and cupholders, and a vinyl protector for the back of the third row seats to protect the leather. Saved me hundreds of dollars off the sticker price.My last two vehicles were SUVs with roof racks which I utilized quite a bit, so I wanted them for my HL as well. The dealer, of course, was willing to sell me OEM racks for about $450. No thank you. After much research, I settled on these roof racks. Been on my HL for about a week now, and I have no complaints. They are an almost graphite gray color, so they blend with the chrome silver and rest of the car’s color scheme (not perfect match of course), but I know that the finish won’t scratch off with use. They feel very solid, so I can imagine that they are capable of holding a couple hundred pounds if necessary. I drive 80 miles round trip each day to and from work. With the windows down or up, moonroof opened or closed, A/C on or off, I’ve heard no sounds of drag or poor airflow around them. I also love that they give such a nice (again, floormodel) vehicle a much more rugged look to it. I was surprised that such a simple addon made such a difference in its exterior appeal.My only issue with installation was that little things weren’t addressed in the hardcopy or video instructions. For example, the metal gaskets that sit within the bolts’ housing do not stay threaded. Once you lift either rack up out of the box and the bolt housing falls loose with gravity, its weight will pull the gasket right off the bolt threads. I just kept one of the bolt assemblies off until I connect one side properly. I had to do a round-robin to fully tighten each side, but it was better than looking underneath my car for the other side’s gasket after it fell out. Also, the included allen wrench is of poor quality, so you should use a proper one from your own toolbox to prevent stripping the screwheads which allow each rack to expand or contract. In any case, very minor issues which were easily overcome – installed in under an hour.Save yourself money at the dealership and put these off racks in yourself. Well worth the low cost and a little time.

Overall, quality is excellent. only minor « irritant » 1 screw was different from the other 3 and its head was « rounded » which made it hard to set to the proper tork.

A breeze to install. I glanced at the installation instructions but didn’t need them. Each piece has orientation directions moulded into them and on top of that there are added stickers to direct you. Only ones that weren’t immediately obvious were the plastic covers. But they have RH and LH moulded into the bottoms of them for right-hand or left-hand. Shorter bar goes up front, and they tell you that with a sticker.It comes pre-assembled so you can see exactly how it should be done. It also comes with an AllenKey and wrench. I installed it in 25 mins.

First, these things are legit sturdy and look great! Second, the folks who have trouble with install must have mechanical challenges or bad/stripped threaded holes on the roof of the vehicle. (You probably should check these before you purchase.) Not only are the instructions easy to follow and well laid out, but the tools provided are all you need. I think the important thing, as described in the instruction sheet, is DONT tighten anything until after the placement on the roof for install completion is done then you can tighten it all down. Heck, the hardest part was using the provided Allen wrench for tightening the bars down at the end because those bolts are on the underside, and its a stretch to even say that wasn’t really easy. GERAT VALUE and GREAT PRODUCT!!

Bought for an upcoming road trip. We have a roof cargo carrier box, bought this car without roof crossbars so we needed some to use the cargo carrier box. These seem super sturdy. The price was better than others and reviews and great. Easy to install. I installed them myself.*I will update after our trip!
