The Blinker Genie for Motorcycles has been a huge success, but was not ideal for use on automobiles. We have now designed this Blinker Genie model specifically for Automobiles called the “Blinker Genie 2”. The Blinker Genie 2 – for Automobiles – is designed to allow single filament light bulbs, and single intensity LED lamps, to function as both running lights AND blinkers – at full brightness! Properly connect any two-wire incandescent or LED lamp(s) to the Custom LED Blinker Genie 2, and your lamps will now function as both running lights and turn signals! Each Blinker Genie 2 can control up to 2A (25 Watts) worth of indicator lamps in the recommended configuration. This ensures our product will work for a wide variety of situations and indicator lamp types. The Custom LED Blinker Genie 2 is designed to be as small as possible while being as versatile and robust as possible. The finished dimensions of the unit will measure less than 0.7″ x 2.5″ X 0.25″, and it is water resistant for reliable operation. Operation: Running Lights OFF: The Blinker Genie 2 will pass voltage from the turn signal input to blink the connected lamps on. The lamps will remain off if the blinker is not engaged. Running Lights ON: The Blinker Genie 2 will pass voltage from the running light input to power the lamps as running lights, and will blink the lamps off anytime there is voltage on the turn signal input. This way, in any input scenario, the functions of run and turn are achieved. The Blinker Genie 2 has 7″ wire leads, all required electrical connectors and detailed installation instructions. You will most likely experience the fast-blink rate if you use the Blinker Genie 2 on your automobile to control a blinker lamp in the OEM lamp position (as opposed to simplay adding an additional blinker lamp via the BG2). It works as advertised. It would have been fast shipping but the post office messed up not custom led. First class Mail is standard with priority mail the expedited shipping I believe.

Blinker Genie converted my 2-wire LED turn signals to 3-wire functionality. Easy to install. Works great.

I had running lights along my bus that I wanted to turn into turn signals and running lights. After searching everywhere I came across this. The instructions were very clear and straight forward. It works great after hooking it up. Exactly what I wanted. Amazing product!

I’ll begin by saying i have worked with 12v wiring since i was about 16 years old. Im now 47. Ive installed lights, car stereos, police equipment, cameras, other electronic components, etc. for years and years. I have a fairly decent grasp of 12v circuitry.I was recently tasked with wiring a UTV with turn signals, a fairly simple project ive done successfully a few times now. The owner of the vehicle wanted to wire a signal into the existing LED tail light/brake light assembly. Ive done this before and it can be pretty detailed. The description of this product sounded like what i was needing to accomplish this and much more simple than what ive done in the past. The product arrived quickly and i read the accompanying instructions, as i always do. Seemed pretty straight forward. I identified the appropriate wires on the UTV using a multimeter along with wiring schematics from the manufacturer. I wired this product in according to the instructions. The instant i turned the key of the UTV to the position where tail lights are activated, the two Blinker Genies popped loudly and smoke began rolling from the rear of the UTV. I removed the Blinker Genies and tested the UTVs lights. All working appropriately. I resorted to the old method of wiring the signals, which worked just fine.These may work in certain applications, but they did not work for this particular project. The shortcut i was hoping for ended up costing me more time and money.

Got a set of these to make my mirror’s lights work both as run lights and turn signals. The difficult part was to source the cables from each turn signal into the circuit, but installing this item itself is quite easy. Using it with 3 LEDs on each side plus a LED-friendly blinker relay and works awesome!

I installed this on a 2011 Jeep Wrangler in order to turn the front side marker lights into running lights/ blinkers. I spliced in the wires as instructed and they perform as described. The side marker lights blink with the front blinkers. others tie the side marker light into the front blinker’s ground, that makes the side marker light & front blinker alternate. I’m pretty happy with this solution. it adds a bit of bulk, but i was able to zip tie the excess wires to frame behind the grill.
