My husband uses this in his semi-truck and it works just fine when he is out delivering equipment on some back country dirt road that twists and turns it helps to know which direction you are going in and this does just what he needs it to do.

I was looking for a digital compass and this is the only one I found. I calibrated the first one and then the LCD display broke so I exchanged with another one from Amazon. The exchange was professionally handed and my new one works wonderful. I only had to calibrate it once and I have removed the compass from it’s position in the car to my house and when I set it back up the calibration stayed. I was very pleased with this.

Ya, it is only Okay. Still haven’t figured out how to calibrate it. I get ” – -” a lot. Whatever that means???? The instructions are inadequate. As long as I don’t try to calibrate it, it gives me the rough direction I’m going in. For the price, it is Okay. Well it was Okay until one day I had it mounted on my motorcycle when I notice something flies off to the side. At my next gas stop, I notice both the battery cover and battery are gone. I was so discouraged I just through it away.

works fine after I put a dime on top of the battery to make contact. Otherwise, if that continues to work, its good.

My 2002 Buick would not allow using a very expensive Ritchie anywhere inside the car. Decided to give this a try and after a few whirls in various dashboard positions found this Bell to work just above the instrument panel near the windshield. Perfect for viewing and button pushing. It works in all four quadrants with minimal offset. Very very pleased with this compass. The Ritchie has found a happy home in my fiberglass hulled boat where it can always find north.

It didn’t work in my car. Returned it.

This is a poor product. The first one I ordered did not work. The replacement works sort of. But the calibration is both questionable and spotty. The compass sometimes changes direction quickly, sometimes the lag is up to 30 seconds and other times it just flashes. In addition the unit turns off in 10 minutes if there is not a change of direction. The light only stays on for about 10 seconds so the unit is useless at night. I would return the item, except I did not read reviews which I usually do so I own some responsibility. Call it a Christmas Donation to Bell Automotive for what is IMHO a piece of “junk”.

Didn’t work at all after removing the plastic tag that prevents the battery running down. Replaced the battery but still didn’t work.So I had to get in there and bend the battery contacts around to get it to work.Sticky tape was useless. Had to find some of my own to mount it.As soon as I start moving, the vibration starts making those battery contacts intermittent again and the thing is completely useless.
