I was expecting to get an item that wasn’t broken when I bought a “very good” shape from Amazon. The hood scoop clips were bent and warped along with another one being entirely broken. I will say it was packaged nicely and wasn’t scratched though

Fits exactly like the factory one. Easy to install, shipping was fast. Look no further.

Part was for my 2005 mini cooper and definitely enhanced the look.

The problem on Amazon is not knowing which positive reviews are real, which are written by bots, and which are bought and paid for by the seller. On the negative side, which ones are genuine, and which are alleged shipping damage or incorrect fit or assembly caused by the buyer because they don’t know what they’re doing. (Here’s a hint, most of the negative reviews are just that. )A review should contain your personal experience, but not too personal. Nobody cares to know that much about you, and I should probably apologize for all my reviews! The backstory, I bought my 2006 Mini Cooper S this fall. Fuel prices are terrible and getting worse (not going to get political and say why) and my big ol Dodge truck drinks like (insert Speaker of the house’s name)!! Applause.. canned laughter….See? Non political! That could be any of them from any point in history! Anyway, jokes are hard to do now because everyone is violently offended nowadays … lighten up people! I am trying to make this less boring for you.I have to drive too much. So a Mini Cooper was the right choice, BMW quality, British roots, and it fits in with my classic Triumph and MG car collection.See? Too personal! Ha!Anyway Zoe (that’s my Mini’s name, quit laughing!!!) hit a deer on the second day I owned her. I then had to find a new hood (bonnet, if you are so inclined).I found another hood but the hood scoop was a bit broken, I temporarily fixed it with lots of hot glue and promised to replace it properly this spring. And it was fine for quite some time.Driving down the interstate at 70 mph on a particularly blustery day this week, the glued scoop went Boop and flew over the top of the car, and into a snow covered ditch, never to be seen again. After getting home I searched the internet for a replacement, preferably in factory chili red, no luck.I saw the gloss and flat black varieties here on Amazon, I thought the price was fair and it had prime shipping and some sort of guarantee.I’ll take a chance… SOLD!I chose flat black as it would be easier to paint in the Chili red body color this summer when I do some classic car painting.Today the scoop arrived. It’s 9°F outside, very windy, with windchill in the negatives.I figured out the difference between us people in America who use the Fahrenheit temperature scale and those In the rest of the world that use Celsius. When the temperature gets cold, we are far less negative about it. When Europeans, for example, get to zero or below, we Americans are still positive for thirty some odd degrees. It’s good to be optimistic and positive! They could learn something from us!Bad jokes aside, it took all of five minutes to install, it fit perfectly and comes with the bolt studs but no 8mm nuts, so use your originals or buy four new 8mm lock nuts to prevent things rattling free. The fit is perfect and the abs plastic was still nice and flexible in the cold temperature today. I was worried about that the most because I have seen cheap aftermarket car plastic shatter before! This is good stuff! If you look at the pictures that I added, you will see that poor old Zoe really needs a bath and polish, but that is the new flat black scoop from Amazon in all its glory… and you know it doesn’t look too bad in black!Overall a completely painless experience.Highly recommended!!!!!

The ordinal came in a chrome look. But was peeling. So I replaced it with this one. It’s black and looks much better

No modification required – bolted straight on although the fitting bolts had no nuts so reused the old ones.
