This is a well designed fix for a poorly designed factory part.Installation is simple once the factory piece is removed. I achieved this with an angle grinder, removing the peened over portion of the pin, then driving the factory pin out with a punch.Reassembly is very simple, using the provided parts, requiring only a pair of pliers.I don’t know why, but the kit provides two bushing/pin assemblies. My 2005 Cadillac STS only requires one. I see that quite a few other models are covered by this kit, so maybe two are required on some vehicles. Whatever. I’ve now got a spare.

worked like a charm. Mechanic and a dealership tried to tell me I had to purchase the whole arm for around $700. Instead looked at the original got the part number and bought this for $7 and went to another shop and charged me $35 to install. so in total this repair was only $42. what a savings.I have had it installed about a month ago and the shifter feels brand new.

Saved me a lot of money, used on a 2005 STS, the shift linkage (under the car, from the shifter to the transmission) was making a bad rattle on acceleration and the car would occasionally have issues going in to park. You have to grind off the old pieces first, I used a dremel with a grinder tip under the car and didn’t have to remove my center console/shifter. The new bushings are locked in with a locking clip and were easy to put in. Now my shifter is sturdy and the rattling is gone with no problems shifting in and out of park. VERY happy!

Shift linkage link control bushings fit perfect.IDIMFactory linkage had rivets and had to grind them off. Also had to loosen muffler to gain access. Tight squeeze.

My shift linkage on the CTS was loud and tinny sounding. The rubber on the linkage was completely gone. I didn’t even have to pull the whole shifter rod out. Just drilled out the old one. Installed this one. Very easy. Cost effective. And quiet again when using the shifter. Glad they give you two. There are two to replace on the cts, but one was still good. I lost the other one. I was looking at it to compare something, then poof. It was gone. Still haven’t found it , been looking for two days now.

No frills. This product does the job it’s designed to do. Package comes with 2 bushings. I only needed one, so I have a spare for later if the current one should ever wear out. That doesn’t appear to be likely given how well it’s worked so far. It’s been over a year since I installed it.
