This is an aftermarket replacement flywheel assembly for Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, OMC, Marine Power, Crusader, and GM marine SBC V8 engines used between the years 1987-newer. This flywheel is for inboard engines using a transmission with the ring gear on the side of the flywheel closest to the engine block.

description states ring gear is close to engine block, photo shows ring gear away from the block. both can’t be right!
