This thing comes in pieces that you bolt together. It should be welded if it’s going to carry 30lbs of gas. Should be sturdier all around in fact.

To start the metal for this is pretty good quality and feels durable. This works for metal two bar handle jerry cans only and not the plastic versions. It comes in 2 pieces. You have the base which both plastic and metal jerry cans will slip into. And then the top piece, which is the lock that holds everything in place during rough adventures. They are lockable to keep your gear secured. The top piece is simply a hook that will fall off. The moment you undo the lock which is kind of frustrating. The biggest draw back to these is that it doesnt work for Nato jerry cans unless they are specifically 2 bar handle style. The work around to this is just using a bungee cord like i did and scrap the lock portion. Apart from that, These are a pretty decent option for putting into a side by side or on a truck and off roading or adventuring.

This Jerry Gas Can Holder is a great way to securely mount your 5-gallon gas can. I was able to easily install it in the back of my Jeep, and now I can bring extra fuel with me on the trails without worrying about it rattling around or spilling. The powder coating seems durable, and the lockable strap gives me peace of mind knowing my gas can is secure.
