After replacing 2 sets of main and auxiliary batteries on our Pacifica S, I was done with the start stop function, but wanted to keep the Aux battery so things could run when the vehicle was being turned over. This did the trick! Easy to install and working exactly as described.

Works like a charm! Really takes out the hassle of always having to push the off button every time you get in your van. It is a bit pricey, but I guess you have to pay for the convenience.

Company videos and paper instructions for installation are NOT complete! Not even close.Installing this device was an absolute nightmare. If you have the very basic model Pacifica or Voyager, then the instructions will be fine, but if you have any options, like many of us do, then there will be a TELEMATICS MODULE in front of the module that this device needs to plug into. There are no videos or instruction anywhere on the internet or the company’s website for removing the telematics module. (They simply tell you to remove it if it is there.) And for good reason… it is nearly impossible. There are a plethora of connectors on the telematics module that will need to be removed to get it out of the way to get to the other module you will need to plug this device into. The wiring harness to these connectors is so tight as to make it nearly impossible to take them off and then to put them back on, even with the 4 screws removed from the telematics module. Furthermore, there is one large grey connector that has a special way of removing it. Only one forum for Pacificas mentioned this connector and how to get it off, however, those instructions were WRONG! It caused me to break part of the lock-down lever off when I tried to pull it. Why? Because that lever is two-sided; one arm in the back of the connector (that you cannot see) and one in the front (that you can see) This was not mentioned in the forum. Unknown to me, they are connected together and there is a tab connecting the two arms that is supposed to be pulled back. I followed the instructions on the Pacifica forum on where to push and broke the front arm off. Fortunately, at the same time the the front arm broke, the lock released so I could get the connector off. However, putting it back on was nearly impossible because now the front locking mechanism had no arm and was no longer connected to the rear one. To say I was angry was an understatement. It took an hour to work the little piece left on the front so it was synchronized with the rear arm so the connector would slide in. I was then able to lock it in with the rear arm. Fortunately, it held fine. I cut my thumb open doing it, though.As for the other connectors on the telematics module, if you are not a seasoned mechanic (with small hands) and are not accustomed to working without sight with only your fingers in very confined spaces, don’t even attempt this. Seriously. They are extremely difficult to take off and even more difficult to put back on. Be sure to match the colors!In a nutshell, if you have a Pacifica with some options where this telematics box is needed, I suggest you live with turning your ESS system off when you start the car and not purchasing this device. I’m a seasoned mechanic, and had I known how difficult this was to install, I would not have done it. I persisted because once I broke off the connector’s arm, I was going the distance to get this device in. By then I was married to it. If I even need to replace this device, I might not be able to get the grey connector off now. That sucks.This device is definitely not worth the effort to install it if you have that telematics module. And that is why the manufacturers of these devices do not put up videos of how to install them on vehicles that have telematics modules. There should have been a warning in the description AND the manufacturers should have put up a video of how to remove the telematics module.I should give only one star because my vehicle could have been disable had I not gotten that grey connector back in. However, I pushed through it and the device works. If it ever fails I will be mad as a hornet!Again, remove your center console to see if you have the telematics module first (This module has 4 screws with a lot of connectors at the bottom of the module) and skip purchasing this device if it is there. That is, unless you like pain and suffering and don’t mind a disabled vehicle if you cannot get the grey connector back in because you broke the locking arms getting the connector off.

The video says to use the driver’s side connector which is incorrect. The written instructions that come with the device says use the smaller connector which is the right one. Caused some frustration. Seems to work as advertised.

Purchased this harness for my father-in-law for install in his 2020 Chrysler van. Installation was simple. No more Start/Stop nonsense that wears out starters. Not only that he can say goodbye to expensive AGM batteries. Good investment!
