2014 Camry Hybrid USA XSE trim model. Hardest part was removing lower dash panel. Remove black side panel of dash first. Plug in 2 “T” harnesses and then follow instructions plugging in module then ziptie everything up out of the way of the knee airbag. The 2 pin “Hybrid” connector was not used or required on this model car. Press lock 3 times with factory remote, car starts and sets temperature to where you left it in climate control settings. Great value, easy peasy.

If you want the install and programming to be quick and easy read over everything before you start. Took less than 20 minutes to install and works great. I have already suggested one to my mom.

This was a gift for my wife. She loves it. Reasonably priced and super easy to install. Installed exactly like the video they sent me. Even came with tool to remove dashboard. I only wish the engine would stay running after the roof is opened like factory remote starts but it’s definitely not a deal breaker and I knew this prior to purchase. I would highly recommend.

Excellent remote start, works perfectly in my 2012 camry xle hybrid. The installation was easy once i figured it out. To install it properly watch on ytube “Start X Remote Start Install – Avalon” its a 2:34 long video.

Not too many years ago I bought an aftermarket remote starter for a different vehicle and discovered the installation would require a-lot of rewiring. I was not going to take the time to do that and hadn’t thought about remote aftermarket starters until I came across this item. This is truly plug and play. No wiring knowledge needed. If you can match a color to that same color plugging in the module you are all set. The installation video that is on the product page is spot on. It took just the plastic tool included and a philips head screwdriver to remove the steering column cover and the left dash panel. I did have a faulty “module” that came with the kit. I contacted the vendor and had a replacement module shipped asap. That completed the installation and it really is just 3 presses on your lock fob and the vehicle starts. I may have missed where the amount of time running after a remote start would be. But I timed it out to 20 minutes and then it shuts off. Great product and outstanding service.

Took about 20 minutes to install, hardest part was getting the panels popped off. Works exactly as advertised. Just follow the video instructions and use the instruction manual and you’ll be good to go. Great product.
Start X for Avalon –
Cheaper than a car starter. Also didn’t need to get a second remote. Find this option to be the better option. Fast delivery. Wasn’t a big fan of the duty cost. Took 20 min to install myself. Very simple. I think this is one of the star x easiest model to install.

The installation was pretty straightforward. The hardest part was reaching the locations where wires needed connecting, not a fault of the product. Works as advertised.

Pro- This may be the easiest remote start install. Plug and play. Works perfectly with factory and aftermarket key fobs.Con- when you open the door, the vehicle turns off. This is by design and I do not see a way to keep the vehicle running.
