Best rebuild kit for the td04 on the market hands down. I’ve got over 80k miles on this kit with almost 20psi coming out of it, as well as 14 others rebuilt and on the road with zero issues.

Brought this to repair my turbocharger and the shaft play got worse and now my compressor wheel rubs on the housing. Not all the parts were the right size the piston ring on the turbine shaft was to large and the oil deflector plate was under sized and completely missing the thrust bearing.

I rebuilt my tdo4 turbocharger on my 02 Subaru Impreza WRX. The turbo before I rebuilt it was in very bad shape all the seals were blown out and it had a lot of shaft play. This kit was very easy to install everything fit nicely and no more shaft play. I would recommend using assembly Lube when installing new kit.

This kit fixed the oil leak on my TD04HL turbo. Except the bearing sleeve that retains the oil flinger plate was short by approx. 8 hundreths. I had to use my old spacer to keep my impeller from tightening against my center housing rotating assembly.Other than that, very pleased with the kit.

I bought a 2009 FXT with a blown motor. Swapped in a new one, and reinstalled the Chinese turbo the previous owner bought. Turbo ran fine for a month or so, then started leaking oil into the exhaust. I rebuilt the turbo with this kit, and everything works great! If your TD04 is in decent shape with no shaft damage or damaged turbine fins, this will probably work for you too. FYI, this kit has a stepped oil seal ring which should seal better than the stock one. Quite happy with my purchase.
